Located at the top of the Ossington strip, Salt wine bar offers a modern progressive approach to Iberian/Canadian tapas. Salt is a bustling, cozy, communal tapas bar with great energy. Our guests enjoy artisanal cheeses, Iberian charcuterie and an excellent variety of small plate dishes. Chef Dave Kemp is strongly committed to using seasonal and local products whenever possible. Our cellar contains an extensive list of Portuguese and Spanish wines which complement each and every dish.

My name is JUCA!

It's officially spring although it doesn't feel like it out there but no worries Juca is heart to warm up your soul!

Juca is an exciting red Vinho Verde hailing from Riba de Mouro in the Alto Minho and boy is it delicious.
Coming from a small vinyard planted in Ramadas (pergola) in 1918 yes you heard that right over 100 year old vines. A blend of traditional indigenous grapes varieties: Vinhão, Alvarelhão, Cainho, Espadeiro and Borraçal grown on granit soils.
Total de-stemming fermentation on skins in large open vessels. Aged for 6 months in stainless steel with minimal intervention with a small dose of Sulphur when bottled.

Think wild red berries with wildflowers and an irony earthy tone. Freshness is key here with good structure and a complex long finish.

Official Wine Crush!!! 😍🤩😍

César Márquez Pérez is producing some outrageously delicious wines. Hailing from Bierzo La Salvacíon comes from centenarian vines of Godello organically grown on clay and slate soils. half of the fruit macerates for 24 hours in low temperature adding weight and depth while the other have is directly pressed. Both are barrel fermented and moved to old oak barrels where it rests without any toping or stirring for 3 months allowing a layer of flor to develop.

Elegant and complex with a balance of freshness and richness. White flowers, citrus, peach, pear, almond, and subtle smoky/toasted notes with slight Oxidative notes stemming from the flor

This Age-worthy masterpiece has a creamy, fresh, and balanced palate with notes of ripe fruit, nuts, and a distinct saline (salty) mineral textured finish.

has brought up the 2020 vintage and it is being poured by the Glass for everyone to enjoy!

We are Super excited to welcome Winemakers Nuno and Daniela to Toronto for the very First time.
Geographic Wines was born from the complicity and willingness to create unique wines that are based in authenticy, social and environmental sustainability, preservation and disclosure of the different Portuguese terroirs and its wines

This will be a very small intimate dinner where Nuno and Daniela will take us through a special selection of there wines, Terroirs and philosophies alongside our very own Philip Carneiro.

Letra F

Hailing from the iconic Douro Valley, Letra F pushes the conventional boundaries of what really is a Douro Red. F stands for the least desirable area for production of Port mostly North Facing higher elevation vineyards where white and red grapes can be seen co planted

A field blend of more than 20 red and white grape varieties from 70- to 110-year-old vines. 70% red and 30% white grapes. They are planted to granitic soils at an average altitude of 500m to 730m (elevation)
Hand harvested. 30%-40% whole cluster, cold soak fermentation using wild yeasts, with 28 days maceration. Aged for 12 months in stainless steel.

A Bright Juicy expression filled with character that entices the palate every sip
