Hello possums 🥰

Well, Toronto has announced that it is now headed for phase 2 and many patios will be opening soon. We have put a lot of thought into how we will make this work within the current guidelines in our cozy little spot. (cozy being a translation for small in this instance)

Our priority is obviously the safety of our beloved staff & customers. According to the current guidelines we are very restricted here due to our size & trying to open the patio in such a limited way just doesn’t make sense at the moment. So for the next little while we are going to continue to function as a shop as we see how this all unfolds. Thank you so much for your continued support! We will keep you posted!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for your patience as we try and figure this whole “being a shop now” thing out. We are truly so excited to see you from a safe distance. ❤️

That being said, we know there are far more important things going on in this world right now so we “announce this” with very mixed emotions.

We have always tried to champion equality & inclusion at The Walton & have endeavoured to make it a safe space for everyone. But realize we have so much more work to do in the fight to end systemic racism.

We will listen more, we will learn more, we will find ways to contribute & make a difference. We will be better.

The fight for equality & justice for BIPOC must be everyone’s fight.

Well possums, the day has come. We have made the decision to close our doors for the foreseeable future while the world tries to heal. As much as we will miss you terribly, it’s the responsible choice as the safety of our community is our number one concern.
