Our milonga is strictly social dancing. We do not offer a tango lesson before the milonga, except on special occasions. We are fortunate to have a wonderful lineup of experienced Tango DJs, who bring carefully selected music and help create the atmosphere that makes each evening special. Outdoor shoes are not permitted on the tango floor. Upon arrival, please change into your dance shoes in the entrance area. Coat check is available at the entrance, and fresh water is provided throughout the evening. Milonga de la Cofesión operates year-round, with the exception of Ash Wednesday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Canada Day. We are a non-profit Argentine Tango social organization dedicated to promoting Argentine Tango music and dance while supporting our local tango studios, teachers, DJs, and the wider tango community. Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming social space where people can come together, dance, listen to beautiful tango music, and help keep the tradition and culture of Argentine Tango alive in Ottawa. We live in a digital world, and social media has become an important part of how communities connect, communicate, and grow. Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and online tango community groups are among the primary tools available to us to share our events and promote our weekly Wednesday Milonga, occasional Saturday Afternoon Milongas, and special milongas held on other days. By attending or participating in Milonga de la Cofesión, you acknowledge and agree that the organizers, representatives, or authorized photographers and videographers may photograph, film, or otherwise record you during the event. Be part of the tango community.
