Join us on June 27th for the 4th anniversary of Jazz Cats Social with Slipped Disc!

Whether you’ve been with us from the start, or you haven’t made it out yet, we’re happy to welcome you to the community! Make friends and try something new with our drop-in Lindy Hop lesson at the start of the evening (no experience or partner required), followed by live music and social dancing for the rest of the night.

We’re especially excited to have Slipped Disc, led by Josh Roberts, as our band this month! Josh was instrumental in helping us get started 4 years ago and we appreciate him so much.

Slipped Disc plays the dynamic, swinging music of 1940s-era small group jazz. Influenced by the Benny Goodman Sextet and Artie Shaw's Gramercy Five, the ensemble features a front-line of clarinet, vibraphone, and guitar, supported by a swinging rhythm section.

UPTOWN SWING COLLECTIVE is a friendly and inclusive community of hot jazz enthusiasts. We are passionate about creating intergenerational connections between musicians, dancers and toe tappers, by regularly providing live music in an accessible and welcoming space in the heart of New Westminster.
