Il existe des tequilas que l'on boit. Et il existe Don Julio.
Fondée en 1942 par Don Julio González dans les hautes terres de Jalisco, au Mexique, la distillerie a changé la façon dont le monde perçoit la tequila. Là où la plupart plantaient leurs agaves serrés pour maximiser la production, Don Julio les espaçait davantage — leur donnant plus de soleil, plus de terre, plus de temps. Le résultat : un agave plus riche, plus complexe, et une tequila qui n'a rien à prouver.
Ce mois-ci, on vous propose de la découvrir dans ses trois expressions essentielles.
🌿 Blanco — Pur, frais, végétal. L'agave dans son expression la plus directe. 🪵 Reposado — Reposé deux mois en fûts de chêne américain. Rond, vanillé, avec une pointe d'épice. 🍂 Añejo — Vieilli dix-huit mois. Profond, caramélisé, long en bouche.

Founded in 1942 by Don Julio González in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, the distillery changed the way the world thinks about tequila. While most producers planted their agaves close together to maximize yield, Don Julio spaced his further apart — giving each plant more sun, more soil, more time. The result: a richer, more complex agave, and a tequila with nothing left to prove.
This month, we're inviting you to discover it across its three essential expressions.
🌿 Blanco — Pure, fresh, vegetal. The agave in its most direct form. 🪵 Reposado — Rested two months in American oak barrels. Smooth, vanilla-forward, with a hint of spice. 🍂 Añejo — Aged eighteen months. Deep, caramelized, with a long, lingering finish.
