The Marquee is located at 2037 Gottin
gen St in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia. In the spring of 2013, the venue opened as The Marquee Ballroom. Our goal is to showcase quality National, International, and East Coast music and to be a facility available for use by the arts community as well as local promoters, non-profit organizations, and private groups. Some of the acts that played the Marquee over the years include Daniel Lanois, Billy Bragg, Guided By Voices, Jim Cuddy, Arcade Fire, The Tom Tom Club, Bloc Party, Ron Sexsmith and many others. The club also aided the careers of such local acts as Joel Plaskett, The Trews, Matt Mays and Wintersleep, to name just a few. The Marquee Club closed in 2009 and for several years the Paragon Theatre occupied the Gottingen Street space, continuing to provide Halifax with high-quality shows. https://twitter.com/Marqueeballroom
