A note to say how much we miss you as we mourn the loss of our beloved restaurant. Wanted to let you know we are well and that Gerry has been resting and recuperating. We are busy trying to make a home for ourselves in Chilliwack BC, closer to family here. Hi Friends of L'Autochtone! We are looking for someone who might help us to take down the Neon Bison and Flags from the front of our building. The Bison Sign was our very first purchase as a business and holds much sentimental value. Bonjour mes amis ! Nancy et moi tenons à remercier tout spécialement tous nos invités du Québec. Ces quatre dernières années ont été grandement améliorées grâce à votre soutien. Lorsque nous avons ouvert le restaurant pour la première fois, nous étions très heureux de voir qu'il était adopté par nos amis de l'autre côté de cette frontière mythique. Au début, 20 % de nos convives venaient du Québec et aujourd'hui, ils sont plus près de 60 %. Pour ceux d'entre vous qui viennent régulièrement en voiture de Rouyn ou du Témiscamingue, vous nous faites l'honneur de votre présence. À tous nos meilleurs clients qui nous ont laissé nous débrouiller dans un français médiocre, nous n'oublierons jamais. Vous avez contribué à faire de ce lieu un endroit très spécial.
