After a lot of thought, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision that Boatworks Social House will be closing at the end of September, with our final day being September 30th.

It’s hard to put into words what this place has meant to us.

To everyone who packed the house for events, came for live music, sat at the bar and had a beer with us on the slow nights, celebrated milestones here, or somehow arrived before we did waiting for that first fresh cup of coffee — thank you.

You supported our ideas, brought your friends and families through our doors and turned ordinary nights behind the bar into some of our favourite memories.

We have put so much love, time and energy into Boatworks, and we can genuinely say we’ve felt that love returned by this community.

There are people we met because of this place who became regulars, and regulars who became like family. That’s something we’ll carry with us long after the doors close.

Blenheim is our home. This is where we grew up, and we’re incredibly grateful Boatworks has been able to become a small part of its history.

But this is NOT goodbye yet.

Boatworks is OPEN right through September 30th, and until we lock those doors for the final time, we are still Boatworks.

The quality of our food, drinks and service is something we’ve always taken pride in, and that will not change because we’re closing. We aren’t winding down early or cutting corners. We stand behind what we serve and will continue to hold ourselves to the same standards right through our final day.

And we still have tons of live music, events, specials and fun planned. We’re going to make the end of this chapter one hell of a good time.

So come have another beer with us. Grab your morning coffee. Come for dinner, listen to some music, sit at the bar a little too long and help us fill these last weeks with the same laughter and memories that have filled this place from the beginning.

We’ll save the real goodbye for September 30th.

For now, the doors are open, the beer is cold, the kitchen is cooking, and we’ve still got some memories left to make. ❤️
