My loving friends who not only gave me their spare dishwasher, transported it to my place from Dean Lake, installed it, Saturday. Went to the dump to get rid of the old dishwasher, some waste Hazard items,and an old broken TV. We were all very tired having gone to my daughter's wedding the day before. I am filled with gratitude ...who could ask for better friends.
Today I was exhausted but had the good fortune to see my pastor and family at Shanty Bay. I felt like a kid skipping class and seeing the teacher out of school. I was too tired to go to church this morning. But they were as loving as usual.😍

I am having a fabulous day reviewing the new DVD performances of SYP. The parents who helped out were amazing with all of the sets, costumes, promo etc. The crew made magic in one morning or day of technical rehearsals. It truly is incredible what the SYP performers were able to do in such a short time. The earlier shows which were written by John Palla, Duncan James,& Stephen Bainborough, are hilarious. I just wish I had been able to preserve these treasures earlier. Sometimes the sound and film are not in sync but it's pretty close. It is wonderful to hear the audience and their complete support for all of you. We were pioneers of the Triple Threat Programs with so many obstacles but we persevered and did the best we could do with what we had. Who could ask for anything more:) xoxoxo

I just finished watching Back Yard To Broadway written by John Palla. It was the first major SYP show at the Georgian College. 20 Years ago. I'm afraid there has been some disintegration of the footage but it is fabulous to see. I laughed a lot. What an amazing group of "kids" The energy, projection and comedic timing is sooo good and you did it all in 6 weekends. A total of 24 hours The community theatre groups today have months of rehearsal. Imagine having that much time? It will be interesting to watch the shows again and how SYP grew over the years and how technology started to change as well. Very Cool it is like a time capsule of the 1990's:)

I now have all of the SYP shows on DVD's so I will be uploading these productions for all to see on this page ( once my DVD burner is fixed:) Music stand fell on my laptop sigh...I hope you get that nostalgic feeling when you see yourself on stage and for those who are now in the industry.. how far you have come:) and for those who are directors ...imagine you directing, choreographing, musical directing, doing the lighting design, program writer, buying costumes, lugging sets and co-writing or writing these productions, going to the schools for promotional purposes. No e-mails in those days, No computer recordings, no ipods, no CD's, all for 40 young people with different goals. I'm still trying to recover. teehee but I learned so much from all of you and I learned a great deal about time management but most of all I am blessed that I was able to do it for you! xooxoxox

Hi everyone; I finally got a scanner so I hope to get some photos up of SYP and perhaps some footage in the next month or so. It will be like walking down memory lane.

The show GLEE CLUB is hilarious and it's going to be lots of fun. The premise of the story is dancers versus choir...with former SYP members coming to show the "newbies" how to bring HEART and SOUL to their performances with Stephen Bainborough as one of the adult leads. We will also have city celebrities making cameo appearances and I am currently working on an agent from Talent House coming up to see the show.
