We always knew she’d leave us… but not before emptying our rum shelves. 😉

For 4 years, Marie has been the sunshine behind our bar, always smiling, always ready with a wild story, and always followed by her trusty sidekick, Cassie. 🐕✨

You’ve heard her iconic 'Ho Waw!' echo through the nights, and you’ve been charmed by her endless, unforgettable tales.

This weekend is her final shift, and we’re definitely not ready to say goodbye. 🥲

Planteray Stiggin’s Ball 2026 🍍

Two weeks ago, we spent a few days in the heart of Maison Ferrand, where time seemed to slow down among the casks and the stories they hold. 🍍🥃

We walked through big stills and rows of aging rum, shared thoughts with Alexandre Gabriel, who's passion for spirits is as contagious as the aromas in the air. The Planteray team welcomed us like old friends, and the bartenders, from all around the globe, brought their own flavors to the conversation.

And then there was the Stiggin’s Fancy Pineapple, a rum that carries the warmth of the tropics and the craftsmanship of Maison Ferrand. We even had the chance to prepare pineapples for the next batch, a small but meaningful part of the process.

Grateful for these moments, these people, and these spirits that bring us together.

THE MODERN ALCHEMIST x CLAIRIN COALITION 2026 🏝️🔥

We’ve been obsessed with Clairin since day one here at The Modern Alchemist. So when the chance came to join the Clairin Coalition 2026, a handpicked group of Europe’s top cocktail bars, we didn’t hesitate!

This year, alongside some of our favorite bars, we had the opportunity to select a very special cask: a Clairin Sajous Ansyen aged in Ex-Caroni Cask for 11 months. A rare, vibrant expression of Haitian terroir, finished in a legendary Caroni cask for an extra layer of complexity. 🌍✨

Only a few bottles exist. And we’re thrilled to be among the bars that made it happen.

We’ll be pouring this liquid gold at the bar, neat, or in a Daiquiri. Bottles are also available for purchase directly at the bar or in our webshop!
