We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a kitchen, takes pride in what they do, and can bring a little fire to the pass.

What we’re looking for:
A solid chef or cook who knows their stuff
Someone who loves good food and takes pride in their work
A reliable team player who can handle the heat
A good human with a positive attitude and a sense of humour

BEHIND CHURCH ST, THERE’S NO BIG CORPORATION. JUST US. ❤️

There’s no endless team behind the scenes, no magic button that fixes every problem, and definitely no instruction manual for running a pub!

There’s Michael, me, our family, and a team of people who show up and give it their best.

It’s juggling staff call-outs, equipment that chooses the worst possible moment to break, deliveries that don’t arrive, rising costs, long days, late nights and all the curveballs that life throws our way.

It’s figuring things out as we go, celebrating the wins, learning from the hard days, and doing everything we can to keep the doors open, the kitchen cooking and the drinks flowing. All while trying to remember where we put our coffee. 😂☕️

Running a small, independent business isn’t always pretty, and we’re certainly not perfect. But there’s an awful lot of heart behind what we do.

So when you choose Church St, come back for another meal, bring your mates, book a table, leave us a review, share a post or recommend us to someone looking for somewhere to eat and drink — please know that it genuinely means the world to us.

AFL GRAND FINAL DAY! 17 years ago, on the 26th of September, these two crazy kids got married.

On Grand Final Day.

In Alice Springs.

Central Australia.

She was a primary school teacher. He was a barman, tour guide, breakfast radio host and DJ. They met at Bojangles Saloon and Dining Room spent eight years having adventures, and eventually decided it was probably time to tie the knot.

On Grand Final Day.

Now, to be fair, the date was chosen a full year in advance. Middle weekend of the school holidays. Plenty of time for people to travel. Plenty of time for a honeymoon afterwards. A perfectly sensible plan.

Except her family were BIG St Kilda supporters.

And as the wedding got closer, it became increasingly obvious that bloody St Kilda were going to make the Grand Final.

And they did.

Her dad threatened not to come.

So the wedding time was changed to accommodate the footy.

Priorities.

Somehow, we survived the day, got married, had a honeymoon, and have since managed 17 years of married bliss. And turmoil. And adventures. And good decisions. And questionable decisions. And kids. And businesses. And late nights. And early mornings. And arguments. And laughter. And a ridiculous number of “what the hell are we doing?” moments.

And here we are.

Interestingly, since that fateful day, our wedding anniversary has never again landed on Grand Final Day.

Until 2026.

So this Saturday, come down to Church St and help us celebrate 17 years of marriage, questionable decision-making and somehow still liking each other.

Oh, and we’ll have the footy on too.

Free bar snacks.
Happy Hour prices for the first quarter.
The occasional wedding-day reminisce.
And absolutely no guarantee that we’ll be behaving like a married couple of 17 years.
