After 13 years of service, the 19th of August will be our last one.

We were suppose to close our doors earlier this year but have been very fortunate to stay open the past 6 months.

Thanks to all our guests for your love and support over the years, we couldn’t have done it without you!

We’d like to invite everyone to come and visit Grandma’s one last time.

Grandma's is still open Here for a good time, not a long one.
Plans to develop the building have been put on ice so you can still drop in for an Dark An Stormy, jaffles and high fives!

We have some better news this week... After recently announcing this Friday was to be Grandma's farewell, we've been offered the opportunity to continue serving for at least another month. We don't know how much longer exactly, but us grandkids are here to ride it out until the end.

With so much nostalgic online commentary from customers and media over the past few weeks, we can't help to think the extension is the product of your support. Thank you.

It could be one month, two months or six. Who knows. But Grandma's not going anywhere for now.

We've had some incredible talent work in the bar over the years. Grandma doesn't have favourites but Luis and Lukey are the longest tenured team members so they get the biscuits for that. Here in the first month of working at Grandma's in 2017... They're still with us today.

Memories at Grandma’s. October 2011 (pre opening).

Basement 275 Clarence street wasn't always Grandma's. Before Sydney's small bar license came into play, spaces like ours were mostly used as building storage rooms for the offices above. This city became more vibrant when entrepreneurial bartenders could transform basements into places communities.
