As some of you will know, Airbnb has been offline for a few months. My heart was honestly wrecked when a group of kids used fake IDs to get through Airbnb and booked the house—not once, but twice—to host parties.
The result was around $40,000 in damage, and everyone has missed out while I’ve tried to get things back together and find the nerve to relist.
We’re talking burn marks, curtains ripped out, a coffee table literally torn apart, smashed windows, a stolen fountain, broken lights, fences and a shed kicked in, beds destroyed, and even doors ripped apart… you get the picture.
It’s finally starting to look like itself again, and I’m getting brave enough to relist—aiming for next month.
I wanted to share this so it makes sense why we’re not keen on accepting bookings from brand new profiles with no history.
There’s still a lot of nervous energy around putting it back on Airbnb. But at the same time, I know we’ve hosted so many of you over the years without a single issue—and that matters.
I’m really grateful we’ve been able to repair, rebuild, and get to a place where we can open the space again and continue supporting the kink community.
