Hey everyone!

So while HMU started as a collaborative journey between multiple creatives, it's basically just ended up being a representation of my professional efforts in photography, video and music, both on Facebook and Instagram (neither of which I update as much as my personal accounts / as much as I should).
As such, heading into 2020 I'm consolidating all my professional work under the colloquial but accurate label of Dan Makes Things - if you want to keep up to date with everything going on my world creatively (including current offers and specials, creative shoots which I'm running, and what projects I'm involved in) head over and flick me a like - you can also find me under the IG handle if that's more your thing.

This was an awesome project shot at Central Coast venue The Beery for their Sunday sessions, featuring DJ INDAK's fusion set of dance beats and live guitar! The crowd went off, and I was there to capture the best of the action. Shot and edited entirely by me, on Sony Alpha A7riii, DJI Mavic Pro, and Avid Media Composer respectively.
Fusion samples and guitar by Nick Read, mixed and engineered by myself.

It's been a crazy year!
If you were at The Beery for their Sunday Sesh on the 14th of April, there's a good chance you were in this clip, the result of a collaboration between myself and DJ INDAK!

In the edit suite today performing the finishing grade for a very cool collab with HMU fav which I can't wait for everyone to see - so much slow motion. So much wow. Also absolutely adoring the new .mediacomposer layout from the June update - they've worked wonders with the interface overhaul.

We've been insanely busy - among other things, shooting a stunning new clip for the inimitable at the flexible and formidable in Marrickville!
Loving the a7riii, at this point I would literally die for this camera. Amazing work !

Check out this nifty social media clip I put together documenting the amazing talents of and her grazing tables!
Time lapsed footage, photography shot on a Canon 7D mkii, with all post production (including logo and graphic animation) completed in the extremely versatile Avid Media Composer.
Finally, the jingle was a HMU original, tracked here in my own studio - the complete advertising package!

Happy Monday!
I'm starting my week by dropping the first in a series of creative portraits I shot in a vivid, experimental session with the immeasurably patient a few weeks back.
The idea was to avoid Photoshop as much as possible, and nail surrealist effects as much as possible, using lights, lasers, and other environmental effects in the room with us.
I'm ecstatic with the results - head over to Nat's feed to suss out more sci-fi surrealism from this shoot!
