What a fabulous time I had ! No one does dress up, parades and decorations like New Orleans! I had such a wonderful experience… now heading home ( not a wonderful experience)

Mardi Gras continues through the weekend. Great fun , friendly people , been wonderful!Lundi Gras ( fat Monday) is tomorrow. Weather has been wonderful.

As you know I am in New Orleans at Mardi Gras, which goes on for 2 weeks with various crews having their floats and parades . There are usually from 30 floats upwards in each parade. Last Saturday I watched Kelsey in Cleopatra crew , with many people, many floats and colourful beads zipping around . I watched about 3 parades on Saturday and Sunday . Marching bands dancing ladies , fabulous The last parade is the big , old crews culminating on Tuesday 40 days before Easter .
Each crew throws beads etc out of the floats , each crew has a signature throw . Cleopatra = cups , Muse = shoes . My son is in a crew on Saturday , Fryer Tuck and their signature throw is toilet brushes and plunges .
My job was to decorate for my son and his brother in law their signature throws ( toilet brush and plunger) I used recycled beads etc….
