Nice Girl (Ruby Kerkhofs) is a Kiwi-born, Naarm/Melbourne-based Producer and DJ.
Her 2019 debut release with Houses in Motion was an eclectic dance floor focused 6-track EP gaining attention from Bell Towers. Later that year she released ‘Take a Step’ via Public Possession. Post-pandemic saw Nice Girl’s polar opposite with 4-track EP ‘Whistling Thorn’ incarnating organic, psychedelic and percussive sounds. Since then she has featured in New Zealand’s first Boiler Room Broadcast and released a full-length album ‘Ipsum’.
As a DJ Nice Girl is non-constrained by Genre, BPM or Trends. She has been described as

“taking dance music tropes and making them weird, sometimes even hilarious, without losing sight of what makes them danceable” - Resident Advisor

Selena is a main stay in the Naarm deejay-sphere. She’s a versatile deejay who is able to navigate heaving dancefloors and dish out the necessary frequency selections to keep your body moving.

Spinning tunes from hip hop, soul, dancehall, drum and bass, rnb, jungle, dub and many vibes in between. Check out Selena’s show on SkyLab and get familiar with her refined taste.

Having played a decent wine-bar or club-night near you. Selena has also supported underground dance icons such as Fred P, K-lone, & Facta.

West African in heritage, Naarm (Melbourne)-based Zjoso has quickly become an essential thread weaving through the city’s musical tapestry.
He is the founder of Tribqu, a platform celebrating underground music and culture, where at the helm, he has successfully carved out a distinct role as a DJ, radio host and curator. His monthly radio programme presented on Skylab has become a cult favourite, whilst the dance cultivates a space where music is not led by a specific genre rather a feeling and exploration in sound and movement. Tribqu has energised a community movement of like-minded music lovers.
An accomplished and versatile DJ, Zjoso explores his love for soulful music across the spectrum. In a relatively short time span, he has quickly asserted himself as a prevalent figure on Naarm’s clubbing circuit. With discerning taste that touches on sounds like Street Soul, Dub Reggae, 90’s House, Broken Beat and Detroit Techno. He is able to navigate both dance floors and radio frequencies with perceptive ability and a sharp skill-set. The recherché selector’s recognition proven with invitations to play on bills alongside the likes of Ron Trent, Glenn Underground, Marcellus Pittman, Errol (Touching Bass), Hagan, Shy One, Bradley Zero (Rhythm Section), Ruby Savage, Steve Spacek and Dreamcastmoe and as a key support at Flow Festival setting the mood between acts Digable Planets and KAITT.
A love for dancing, a passion rooted within discovering and sharing music and an inherent motivation to bring people together through these forms lay as the foundation for Zjoso’s creative focus. A vibrant voice who is helping define the shape of Australian dance culture.

On Sunday next, the Gasometer shall blaze in Collingwood, beneath the sun’s warm rays. Primer shall host a revel in fair light with music’s sweet enchantment through the night. From distant shores, Will Hofbauer shall come to weave his art and make the dance floor hum. Nice Girl and Selena’s beats will guide the way, while Zjoso and Floss Dogg keep the crowd in sway. Zobs Palace will spin with lively grace as 6OO Mojo fills the perfect space. The roof flung wide, the sun upon the air, a custom sound to fill the scene most fair. So gather, friends, and let the music ring, for joy and dance this day shall surely bring.
