Stev Zar lives for the delicious in-between. House, techno, electro, acid and breakbeat all find their way into her bass-heavy, percussive sets, stitched together into something that feels completely her own. Familiar grooves get bent, genres get blurred, and the dancefloor gets taken somewhere unexpected.

There’s a real sense of curiosity in the way Stev plays. She’s not interested in sticking to one lane or playing it safe, instead she invites you along for the ride, balancing body-moving moments with unexpected twists that somehow always make sense. Beyond DJing, she’s also a producer and co-curator of UMAMI Collective, helping carve out space for adventurous sounds both on and off the dancefloor.

For an all-diva lineup, it only feels right to include one of the DJs who helped kick the door open in the first place.

Back when booths were a lot more likely to be filled by the boys, Tamara Kiti was already out there serving taste, building a reputation as a selector’s selector, and proving exactly why she’s remained one of Melbourne’s most in-demand DJs for years.

If you know, you know: Kiti doesn’t need to announce herself. The room usually does it for her.
