Beyond the Drop is back!! A regular night on level 3 in the later years of 3D, run by the legendary Harry Blotter! He has put together a killer line up of DJ's playing everything from Prog through to Banging Psy! Psy Trance was a massive part of 3D running every week on Level 3 for many years so we had to make it a part of the 3D Reunion Party!

OSCILOPTIX: Osciloptix is the last member of an ancient civilisation of insectoids, known as the Oscilopsians, which inhabited the earth 400 million years ago during the Devonian period. These crepuscular, insect-like creatures, staged planet-wide synchronised symphonies, at dusk and dawn, that would turn any stagnant body of water into a temporary cymatic masterpiece. Facing extinction due to the evolution of amphibians at the beginning of the Carboniferous era, in an attempt to migrate to a different timeline, the Oscilopsians built a time portal deep beneath the planet's surface, in the great caverns and harnessed the earth's abundant geo thermal energy to power it.
When the portal was activated, the immense power drain caused the earth's magnetic poles to shift and the portal to implode, obliterating every living being in the caverns, collapsing the chambers and starting the continental drift of the tectonic plates of Gondwana. Being late for the great migration, Osciloptix escapes the cataclysm that brought the entire insectoid civilisation to an end.
Feeling an incomprehensible disconnection from the hive mind and realising that his entire species is gone, he burrows deep underground, encasing himself in a cocoon, awaiting to resurface in the 21st century and carry on the legacy of the Oscilopsians.

HARRY BLOTTER: Currently in his 23rd year of performing, Harry Blotter is a familiar face to many in his hometown. Having mastered his craft during the vinyl era, Harry’s musical tastes were heavily influenced by Melbourne’s Techno & Rave scene during the early 2000s. By 2010 the continued growth of Australia's outdoor festival culture saw Harry start to focus on a more psychedelic sound. The dance floor fully embraced his new direction showcasing a darker form of night time Psytrance while effortlessly moving between Forest, Twilight and Full-On Psy. From massive abandoned warehouses to deep in the Daintree Rainforest he remains thankful for the journey music has taken him on to this day. It's the dusty dance floors of the Victorian bush where he feels most at home.
Over the last decade Jason has also been the driving force behind Highly Evolved Music. With Over 35 releases the label has created a home for his own productions while helping many great local acts spread their music to a global audience.
