Technoir Basement Session is locked in.

On Saturday 12 September, Technoir heads downstairs to Collingwood Basement for something a little different.

One room, limited capacity, a proper sound system, and Simon Slieker + Ranjit Nijjer all night long.

After the bigger Christmas parties of recent years, this is a chance to bring Technoir into a smaller, more focused space with the emphasis firmly on the music, the dancefloor, and the people in the room.

A limited number of cheaper early tickets are available now.

The latest episode of Technoir on Area 3000 is now up on Soundcloud!

This episode we’re continuing the story of Simon Slieker, with a focus on his time at Teriyaki Anarki Saki and also a bit of a deep dive into the various DJing formats Simon has used over his career.

The icing on the cake is the second part of Simon’s set from WAX100 from last year where he celebrated 30 years of DJing!

This time Simon Slieker returns to continue his breakdown of his incredible 30+ year DJing career!

Much like the first part of this conversation, it’s a fantastic listen and a great document of the early days of the rave/Techno scene in Melbourne.

To go along with out chat, Simon has been generous enough to share the first part of his all vinyl set all from his ‘WAX100’ event last year, that celebrated 30 years of DJing!
