🎧 MEET YOUR DJ // Yurai 🎶

Welcoming to Ecstatic Dance FNQ for the first time we have Yurai, originally from Slovakia — an ancient land of vast forests and castles — who is a DJ who loves to take you on an adventure, using music as a gateway to every emotion possible.

Coming from the world of Trance parties and underground clubs, his journey eventually led him beyond the traditional dancefloor and into something deeper — Ecstatic Dance, where he finally found the freedom to take the audience on a full-scale sonic journey.

He loves euphoric melodies and driving beats - from deep emotions to uplifting highs and back again.
From ambient soundscapes to acid leads. You can find everything there.

And don’t be surprised if you find him dancing right there with you on the dancefloor between transitions.

💯 MEET YOUR DJ // BADSHORE 🔊

Sarah Bradshore, aka BADSHORE has been serving up a delicious cornucopia of music across the electronic scene for years, carefully weaving driving rhythms and deep basslines all designed to make your body move!

Badshore has supported and shared the stage with acts such as Josh Teed, Stickybuds, Dysphemic, Soulacybin, Dystracted, Spoonbill, ToR, Tribone and TempleStep. Sarah’s also also known for promoting diversity in the dance music scene by sharing her knowledge though the facilitation of grassroots DJ workshops aimed at helping women and LGBTQI+ across the country break into DJing and electronic music.

We are stoked to welcome Badshore back to Ecstatic Dance Cairns for another tasty and diverse dancefloor experience ~ Come and totally own it on the dancefloor

Community isn't something you find.

It's something you create.

It grows in the smile you offer a stranger. The moment you catch someone's eye and silently cheer them on. The space you hold for another person to dance exactly as they are.

On the dancefloor, we're reminded that connection doesn't always need words. Sometimes it's a shared rhythm. A laugh. A knowing glance. A room full of people breathing, moving and celebrating life together.

Eventually strangers become familiar faces. Familiar faces become friends. And slowly, a community begins to form - not because anyone forced it, but because everyone showed up with open hearts.

That's the magic of Ecstatic Dance.

🪩 MEET YOUR DJ // SOLOMON 🪩

For 30 years Solomon has been creating journeys for dance floors. With his roots in the outdoor festival culture since the early 2000’s, his taste of music is broad spectrum and full of colour.

Since being initiated into the Ecstatic Dance movement from 2013-2017 his perspective of dance as therapy completely changed. Later in 2018 this was solidified and a new project was born.

After 7 years of crafting Ecstatic Dance sets, he has found his groove, and you will find him on the dance floor as much as turning k***s and pushing buttons.

His dance journey sets maintain a focus on Global Bass (sorry not open to the concept of Flat Earth Bass Music) and Ethnic Electronica, drawing inspiration from various Rhythms, Grooves and Textures woven together. Expect a tapestry of sounds and stories, carefully woven together with a clear intention to guide the dance floor into a frenzy of expression and deeper movement.

Solomon is also a Relationship Coach, and firmly believes music, movement and dance is a crucial element to a healthy and thriving Relationship.

“What kind of music or genres is lighting you up right now?”

“I am a lover of many sounds. Overall it is Global Bass Music. I also love acoustic, instrumental world music, and especially when it’s infused with electronic production. I love Folktronica and Village Bass music. I love earthy Tribal Bass, Plant Based House and Botanical Bass doused with Ethnic and Tribal influences. I am also a lover of Wonky Half Time with a Dubstep edge and some Tribal Trap with a sprinkle of Spiritual Gangsta Whomp Tech”

✨ What does it mean to truly show up?

Not just physically, but wholeheartedly. To arrive without hiding behind your phone, your to-do list, or the version of yourself you think everyone expects. To be willing to feel what's here, breathe through the discomfort, and stay present even when it's easier to check out. Showing up is an act of courage.

That's why Ecstatic Dance is so much more than dancing. It's a practice of presence. For two hours, you choose to meet yourself exactly as you are, through movement instead of conversation, through connection instead of distraction. No performance. No masks. Just a room full of people showing up for themselves, and in doing so, creating a space where everyone else feels safe to do the same.
