FRONT 2 BACK x SAULT

This Wednesday 2nd of September, FRONT 2 BACK steps into the ever evolving world of SAULT.

At the heart of SAULT are producer Inflo and vocalist and songwriter Cleo Sol, while the collective’s wider circle of collaborators remains largely anonymous. Shrouded in mystery, SAULT moves effortlessly through soul, funk, R&B, jazz and Afrobeat, creating music that is impossible to define and even harder to forget. Three records. Three distinct chapters exploring love, freedom, identity, resistance and celebration.

🕊️Untitled (Rise) (2020)
A powerful celebration of Black identity, resilience and freedom. Big soul, explosive funk and one of SAULT’s most ambitious records.

🌑 NINE (2021)
Darker, heavier and more experimental. NINE digs deeper into identity, injustice and resistance, with hypnotic rhythms and a seriously moody edge.

🪩 TEN (2025)
The record that introduced SAULT’s raw, infectious sound. Funk, soul, disco and R&B, with sharp social commentary and grooves that are made to be played loud.

Three albums. One collective. No skips.

Settle in with $10 snacks + this week’s FRONT 2 BACK cocktail special and let the music play front to back. Doors open at 5pm, book via the link in our bio 🐉

FRONT 2 BACK x TAME IMPALA

This Wednesday 26th of August, we’re diving into the psychedelic world of Tame Impala... The project that transformed Kevin Parker’s bedroom experiments into one of the most influential sounds of modern psychedelia.

Blending hazy guitars, hypnotic synths, dreamy vocals and meticulous production, Tame Impala’s albums feel less like collections of songs and more like immersive worlds. Each record marks a different chapter, evolving from psychedelic rock into something bigger, stranger and completely their own.

From isolation and introspection to heartbreak, transformation and the passing of time, we’re spending the night inside three of Tame Impala’s most immersive records.

🌀 Lonerism (2012)
A vivid exploration of solitude, escapism and an overactive mind. With standout tracks Elephant, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards and Apocalypse Dreams… Lonerism propelled Tame Impala to the forefront of modern psychedelic rock.

🌈 Currents (2015)
The album that changed everything. Blending psychedelic sounds with polished synths and electronic production, Currents journeys through heartbreak, change and moving forward. Highlights include Let It Happen, The Less I Know the Better and Eventually.

🌊 The Slow Rush (2020)
A shimmering meditation on the passing of time and the inevitability of change. Layered with hypnotic rhythms and irresistible grooves, The Slow Rush features Borderline, Lost in Yesterday and Breathe Deeper.

Three albums. One endlessly evolving sound.

FRONT 2 BACK x KENDRICK LAMAR 👑

This Wednesday 19th of August we’re diving into the music of Kendrick Lamar... One of the most influential and acclaimed artists of his generation.

A defining voice in modern hip hop, Kendrick Lamar has built a career on albums that demand your full attention. His music moves between the deeply personal and the fiercely political, unpacking identity, ambition, race, fame and family through vivid storytelling and fearless experimentation. Every record is its own world, carefully constructed from opening track to closing note.

This week, we’re dropping the needle on three of Kendrick’s defining albums and hearing them the way they were made to be heard, front to back on vinyl.

🦋 To Pimp a Butterfly (2015)
A landmark album that brought together hip hop, jazz, funk and soul with some of Kendrick’s most ambitious storytelling. Featuring King Kunta, Alright and The Blacker the Berry, it became one of the defining records of the decade.

📀 DAMN. (2017)
Kendrick at his most immediate. Moving between vulnerability, aggression and introspection, DAMN. gave us DNA., LOYALTY. and HUMBLE. and went on to become the first non-classical or jazz album to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music.

👑 Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (2022)
Kendrick turns the lens inward. A deeply personal record exploring family, trauma, relationships, responsibility and growth, with appearances from Sampha, Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah and more.

Three albums. One of hip hop’s defining voices.
Settle in with $10 snacks, this week’s FRONT 2 BACK cocktail special and let the music play.

FRONT 2 BACK x THE ROLLING STONES 🎸

This Wednesday 12th of August, Ekka public holiday at Stan's , we’re diving into three records from one of the greatest and most influential rock ’n’ roll bands of all time. For more than six decades, The Rolling Stones have defined what it means to be a rock band. Built around the unmistakable partnership of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, their music pulled from blues, rock ’n’ roll, soul and R&B to create a sound, attitude and swagger that became entirely their own.
This week we’ll hear three iconic Stones albums exactly as they were intended, from the first track to the last on vinyl.

💙 Black and Blue (1976)
A loose, groove heavy record that captured the Stones in transition. Blending rock with funk, reggae and soul, Black and Blue introduced Ronnie Wood to the fold and delivered classics including Fool to Cry and Memory Motel.

🔥 Some Girls (1978)
The Stones at their sharpest. Raw, restless and unmistakably New York, Some Girls saw the band embrace disco, punk and the energy of the late ’70s without losing their rock ’n’ roll core. Featuring Miss You, Beast of Burden and Shattered, it became one of the biggest records of their career.

👅 Tattoo You (1981)
Packed with swagger from the opening riff of Start Me Up, Tattoo You became another defining Stones record. Moving from hard driving rock into the soulful second half of the album, it’s a reminder of just how effortlessly the band could shift between grit, groove and melody.

Once the albums finish, we’ll keep the music flowing with a specially curated playlist inspired by the artists who shaped the Stones and the musicians who shared their world. Expect blues, rock ’n’ roll, soul and rhythm & blues from legends including Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Richard, Otis Redding, Gram Parsons and more.

Three albums. One legendary band.
Settle in with $10 snacks, this week’s FRONT 2 BACK cocktail special and let the music play.
