In preparation for the Rave this Friday, a quick memo!! You may be wondering, can I wear white? Do I have to worry about being scalped by impending blood rain? Should I be scared of my look getting ruined?

Well, if you want to wear white, look you do you. Are you going to be scalped? Probably, but you can be sure it won’t be by impromptu liquids, just hardhitting techno and maybe one of Adrienne’s mutilating implements. And yes, it’s gonna be scary.

Look you’re not going to feel comfortable unless you get the memo: this is Blood Rave!! Don some latex and sunglasses, prepare yourself to be afraid, and B. Y. O. blood!! ‼️💉

Be sure to prepare yourself for Blood Rave as E. Davey presents ‘Wrapped in Plastic’. This work explores themes of identity and the nature of the human experience. Presenting the human form as an object, this sculpture series seeks to evoke a sense of existential horror in the raver through self-reflection. With designs informed by vintage horror movies and surrealist horror videogames, Davey experiments with materials, creating semi-abstract humanoid figures with shapes distorted by material qualities and translucent coverings.

Next Friday, experience Adrienne Kenafake in The Summerland, a live performance art act amongst the Blood Rave. The Summerland is a body2body experience in sculpture, ecstatic dance and suburban ritual. The work reflects the primal foundations of underground dance music culture and the pursuit of euphoric escape.

Throughout the performance the artist (Adrienne Kenafake) uses household appliances to dissect, arrange and reconstruct a series of figurative sculptures made from the clothing of deceased strangers. In a reinterpretation of many occult ritual she merges her own body and identity with the psychometric energy of the cloth sculptures. Performed to a live electronic music set, the work is a vision of escape; an attempt to release the body from earthly plane of bone and flesh and blood to discover the ecstasy of The Summerland.
