[MEET&GREET] B R I S B A N E // please be at the venue at 9PM (all cities).
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the woman that is > Kate Moennig.
We all know her better as 'Shane from The L Word', but Kate is much more than her infamous character on our favourite q***r television show.
Some of you might already know she’s the cousin of Gwyneth Paltrow. Kate has also produced a documentary called 'My Address: A Look At Gay Youth Homelessness' in cooperation with the Hetrick-Martin Institute exploring the experiences of homeless gay youth and the work of the HMI.
Kate has also pursued transgender roles, auditioning for the part of Brandon Teena in Boys Don't Cry, and playing Cheryl Avery, a young transgender woman in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
In 2013, Moennig joined the cast of the new Showtime drama Ray Donovan, starring as Lena, Ray Donovan's assistant.
Kate was a presenter at the 17th annual GLAAD awards and appeared at the 10th annual Ribbon of Hope Celebration.
In 2016, Kate received the Equality Award at the 20th Human Rights Campaign Greater Philadelphia Gala.
If you are lucky enough to have a Meet&Greet ticket to meet this wonderful human that is Kate Moennig, you are one of very few to do so in Australia, before she goes on to being an Executive Producer and Lead Actress on the new season of The L Word.
There’s a handful of Meet&Greet tickets left, or come and dance the night away to Kate owning the DJ decks this Friday in Melbourne, Saturday in Sydney or Sunday in Brisbane > TIX: http://facebook.com/events/210996936113003/
