There’s something pretty satisfying about seeing our labels come to life 🎥✨

A big thanks to our label printing team for capturing the process and helping bring the updated design to reality. Tinus made a few important tweaks after the first edition, where the darker colours made some details harder to read — and the difference is incredible.

Watching the labels run through the printers makes all the fine-tuning worth it. Clean, crisp, and ready for the shelves 🙌

While we wait for the final approvals to come through, we’re not sitting still 👌

Today the Espresso Repairman dropped in to connect and give the machine a full service because if we’re going to do something… we like to do it well ☕️

As part of responsible service of alcohol, we believe great alternative options matter. Good coffee is absolutely one of them. It may also inspire some new creations. We are after all a distillery first!

DISTILLERY BUILD UPDATE! 🛠️🥃

This week we turned our attention to the final recommendations needed for our food licence approval:
• Install vent covers for the whirly bird openings
• Install ceiling sheeting above the still
• Install cove curved skirting
• Paint the floors with food-grade epoxy

We hired a scissor lift from Height 4 Hire to help install more VJ panelling. Even with the lift, installing panels on the ceiling is no easy task! Once we got going, we decided to sheet the entire bay rather than just the area above the still — and we’re really happy with the result.

While we had the lift on site, we also installed vent covers across all four whirly bird openings.

Next up, we need to remove the stainless steel sinks so we can install the cove curved skirting. After that, we’ll be painting the floors with food-grade epoxy, continuing the coating up the cove and walls by at least 100mm to meet requirements.

A big thanks as well to Lockyer Valley Electrical Services for installing the still this week ⚡

We’re definitely getting to the pointy end now, and we hope to open with all licenses fully in place.

Behind the scenes of something pretty special today 🎬✨

We’re incredibly grateful to have been included in the Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s latest tourism campaign, showcasing the amazing local businesses and experiences our region has to offer.

For us, today was all about bringing our vision for Liquidus Distillery to life. From day one, we’ve dreamed of growing our own botanicals to feature in our gin and vodkas! Now we’re also able to share not just our distillery door, but the gardens where so much of it begins 🌿

We’re passionate about supporting local, and today we got to highlight some of the incredible producers around us. Beautiful relishes from Tracey at Sweet Mild and Spicy, delicious baked treats from Baked By Brooke, and quality meats from our neighbours at Schultes Butchery. We plan to provide their products for the enjoyment of our customers.

As part of our commitment to responsible service, we’ll also have a range of non-alcoholic beverages options available, including locally made soft drinks from Crows Nest, plus sodas and tonics from Sodasmith, along with tea and coffee.

A huge thank you to the talented team behind the lens; Karen, Luke Marsden, and Ben Baird for taking charge and capturing the heart of what we want to offer, and to our amazing friends who gave their time today to help bring it all together.

What a day! We are so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share it with you all soon 🤍

Big weekend in the garden 🌿💪

Close to 40 tonnes of mulch and 12 tonnes of soil delivered to finish off the two new garden beds. It’s no small job in this heat!

Mulching is already making a huge difference, helping tidy everything up while locking in much-needed moisture during these dry conditions.

We managed to finish the biggest garden bed over the weekend 🙌 with the final bed set to be completed this coming week.

With the weather shifting, we’re already seeing signs of drying. The heavy clay soil here has started to crack! Watering has been a constant task. The new drip irrigation system is going to be a game changer, saving time and water while targeting the plants (not the weeds!).

Still plenty of hard work ahead, especially with the heat sticking around, but it’s all coming together 🌱🔥

Distillery build update — we are getting close! 🍸

Come along for a walkthrough from the carpark right through to the heart of the distillery. Starting outside, you’ll see our front seating area with views across the property and our permaculture-style orchard and garden. Not only does it look incredible and attract plenty of wildlife, but it also supplies botanicals that make their way into our spirits.

Inside, we’ve been busy creating a space that’s both inviting and unique. We were lucky to source some beautiful used wine barrels that double as standing or casual seating, alongside a mix of long bar seating and lounges to suit however you want to settle in.

The client area brings a pop of personality with pink walls and wallpaper, while the production and storage zones shift to a deeper forest green for a more grounded, working distillery feel.

We’re not 100% finished just yet, but we’re getting very close. Over the coming weeks, we’ll have everything ready for filming and we’re edging closer to locking in an opening date (pending final licensing approvals).

Distillery Build Update

Progress is in the details… and they’re finally starting to shine ✨

This week’s update is all about the trim work coming to life around the windows and doors. It’s completely changed the feel of the space.

Huge shoutout to Matt from Body Quality Carpentry and his mate for helping us get the windows and doors framed and trimmed and finished just right. That push gave us the confidence to keep going and tackle the rest ourselves 💪

The bathroom is also nearly there! Walls are painted, ceiling is plastered, sanded, and finished. Just the mural and some final touches to go!

It’s been a massive journey, but we can finally see the finish line. The distillery is really starting to feel real now… 🍸
