Panache, Adelaide French Theatre

Panache, Adelaide French Theatre Formed in 2014, Panache Adelaide French Theatre is an amateur, not-for-profit theatre group performing French plays in French with surtitles in English.

In 2014, the group Panache Adelaide French Theatre inc. was born as an independent French
theatre group, inspired by actors and singers who had for many years performed at the former
evenings of café-théâtre and theatre organised under the auspices of the Alliance Française
d’Adelaïde. After a successful inaugural production in October 2014 - Molière Alive and Well and Living in
Adelaide - Panache

has undertaken a programme of several productions each year. Its main activity is to produce and promote theatre in French, concentrating on the rich theatrical
tradition which has existed in France and other French-speaking countries for hundreds of years. Panache has put on a range of cabaret/theatre/musical productions each year. Highlights have
included Le Visiteur (EE Schmitt) and Antigone (J Anouilh) in 2015, Le Prénom (A de la
Patellière/M Delaporte) in 2016, An Evening on the Left Bank (2017), Les Fourberies de Scapin
(Molière) in 2019 and our participation in the inaugural Auburn FrenchFest in September 2021. Panache also presents puppet show performances for young children and a wide range of musical
events covering many facets of 20 th century French song. All Panache’s performances are in French, and are supported by surtitles in English, ensuring that
people who do not speak French can easily understand what is happening on stage.

Thank you to all our patrons who filled ALL the seats at our first 2 shows!! Today Saturday with 2 shows is fully booked too. Your only chance for a seat is if someone doesn't come and that you will only know just before the shows begin. 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
