Maybe Mae has been named South Australia’s No. 1 cocktail bar, and No. 2 bar overall in Boothby’s Best Bars rankings for 2026 (Boothby magazine Bartenders’ Weekender)

A huge thank you to Boothby, not only for the recognition, but for the work they do in celebrating Australian bars, bartenders, and the people who keep this industry moving forward.

For us, this one means a lot. Maybe Mae has been around for 12 years now, and none of it happens without the people who keep walking down the stairs to drink with us. The regulars, the first-timers, the late-night decision makers, the cocktail lovers, the curious drinkers, and everyone who has helped make this little room what it is.

To our team, past and present, thank you. To everyone who has ever pulled up a seat at Maybe Mae, thank you.

We’re very proud, and very grateful! Time for a drink to celebrate.

GOOD DRINKING THIS WEEK - COASTAL APOTHECARY

A botanical voyage between the Mediterranean and the Australian bush, our house-made Amaro rapidly infuses Vodka with bay leaf, lemon-scented eucalyptus, lemon myrtle, vanilla pod, and angelica root.

Shaken with Gin, Lemon, and silky condensed coconut. A sip that’s reminiscent of the festoon light-filled coastal evening.

Served in a Coupe - silky, campherous and bright.

Not every night starts or ends at the table. Sometimes it’s a drink before. Sometimes it’s one after.

This Mother’s Day, start with her favourite cocktail or settle in after dinner for a moody nightcap, one last drink before heading home.

GOOD DRINKING THIS WEEK - SEAFARER’S FLIP

Using both the skin and the flesh of the banana to create a dense tropical foundation. Bolstered by the roasted bitterness of Guinness and the spiced warmth of Rogue Compass Dark Rum. The addition of macadamia provides a buttery bridge between the dark sugars and the stout. Drink into a sophisticated, liquid embrace for the colder months.

Served in a Wine Taster - buttery, spiced, and tropical.

GOOD DRINKING THIS WEEK - ROCK ‘N’ RUSTIC

We’ve paired the peppery depth of Straight Rye with fresh rockmelon juice and a house-infused tarragon Riesling. It’s textured, earthy, and perfectly balanced, served with a signature Tajín rim to bridge the gap between sweet and spice.

Served in a Coupe - soft, earthy, and fresh.
