Loading in a pretty special week for us.

Harrison BDP (GB) is headed to Sugar after throwing down an absolute heater of a set at Gateway Festival a couple of us were fortunate enough to be in the front row for. Friday night is a lock.

Saturday comes with a special notice. The team at Small City Systems have been working away all year at a new concept they are bringing to Sugar under the project name 'Terrifying Discovery'. The name will speak for itself when the full details of the night come to life. We know SCS can throw a party. We know this is one they've been pouring themselves into all year. Big yes. Don't miss.

They've also programmed this weekend's episode of Sugar Park Pres, with Pierre Honey and Club Sandwich playing an all evening long b2b.

Looks like Christmas came early ‘cause we have a little treat for you. Our doors will be opening from 9pm - no more waiting ‘til 10pm to get your Sugar fix.

This week, we have our locals only Mixed Tape on Wednesday, Wickid Lickwid on Thursday, Happy Station Presents Jovonn (NYC) on Friday, and Yax Presents Carmen Electro (DE) on Saturday.

If this isn’t enough, we’re kicking off your week with Helene’s live set at Sugar on our Soundcloud. The young gun of the Mellow Collective crew did not disappoint with her debut in the Sugar booth. Coming through with some deep techno, progressive sounds, acid lines and thick, dubby goodness for you. You can listen at our link in bio.

Going forward we’re closed on Sundays so get in and get your kicks from Wednesday to Saturday.

What’s up heads. Saturday marks a special one.

We’re staring down the barrel of our first year of reopening and also seeing Sugar into its 23rd year of late nights. We’ve poured ourselves into putting on as many shows as possible, bringing over 60 internationals, 40 interstaters and 165 local DJs to the table. To say it has been challenging would be an understatement and a newfound respect for Driller and previous partners has been realised.

To have made the ride keep rolling for 22 years at this pace is baffling and requires a level of love dedicated to the cause far beyond what can be comprehended without experiencing it.
With all of that, though, it has been incredibly rewarding to be a part of a subcultural hub.

We re incredibly grateful for everyone who has played, promoted, worked and partied with us as we find our feet in this new home.

We’ll be spending Saturday night at the venue with Anthea and friends to bring in the new year. Its free entry all night. Come have a drink, say hey and let’s bring Sugar into year 23 with a bang.

Touching down at Sugar, Giegling needs little introduction.

The German record label was born out of a mutual passion of music from a collective of friends and producers who originally set out to arrange parties in an abandoned building in Weimar for their friends.

Their roster includes Dwig, Prince of Denmark, Ateq, Edward, Matthias Reiling, Vril, Kettenkarussell, Rau aka Christopher Rau, Dustin and many more.

Featuring DJ Dustin (GER) and vinyl-only DJ, Yamour (GER), you’re in for a treat.

Supported by Hans from Transition Records, this is not one to be missed.

Well, we have news for you - it won’t be any better after our BIRTHDAY!

We’re welcoming Anthea (UK) and a special guest on November 30th to celebrate another sugar coated lap around the sun.

Anthea is charismatic both on and off the decks. Her established and distinct brand of funk-fuelled music spanning across electronic genres and years is requested consistently from every corner of the globe for over a decade now.

It’s in her devotion to spinning and digging the most exciting sounds on vinyl, that has cemented her as a powerful force in the house and techno scene.

Did we mention it’s free entry? Of course. Who charges for their birthday party? Not us.
