As far as destinations go, it's pretty hard to beat this one! And I have the honour of shooting my friends' wedding here tomorrow afternoon. I'm am a combination of excitement and nerves. Do you get nervous before shooting? Do you have any tips to overcoming the butterflies?!

I'm such a nostalgic soul. I look at these images and part of me wishes I could have lived in such times; I know, it wouldn't have held the same mystery, it would have just been everyday life to them. But, things are so fast now, and changes are not so dramatic. And our everyday lives are captured so easily, with so many millions of photos taken each day, uploaded to "the cloud." It's wonderful, and I love that...but I can't help but wonder, will my descendants be as intrigued by my world as I am in my ancestors'? Perhaps the key here is to ensure my images are the kind that create that mystery for them? What are your thoughts? Do you agree? Or do you think I should stop being so day-dreamy and just get out and shoot?! Either way, these images by William and Grace McCarthy are beautiful!

I spent some time in the Botanic Gardens just before Christmas; it was such a lovely day out, and the photographic opportunities were abundant! Hi, I just wanted to come past and let you all know that, due to minimum numbers not being reached, we will be postponing the Hahndorf Women's Photography Retreat. The likely date will be during April 2018, as we don't want to schedule it during the Christmas season or when temperatures are possibly going to be too high.

I love this rustic wall, taken in a barn up in Hahndorf. I love both edits of this, but I think the B&W more than the colour. What do you think?
