Morning People is turning the big 10, and we’re celebrating in style - taking over the majestic Auckland Town Hall for a one-off birthday bash with none other than TIKI TAANE (DJ Set), joined by Morning People’s own Jamie Newman.

For only a handful of times in its storied history, the iconic Town Hall will transform into a full-blown morning rave - expect heavyweight sound, big rig lighting, and one of the most eclectic and electric dance floors in the city. This is peak Morning People.

Leading the charge, Tiki Taane brings decades of musical mastery - from platinum-selling hits to shaping the sound of Aotearoa through his work with Salmonella Dub, Shapeshifter and beyond. Expect a genre-spanning, high-energy DJ set built for the dancefloor.

Keeping things moving, Jamie Newman will deliver a finely tuned selection honed over 20+ years behind the decks - a deep crate of dancefloor gems from across scenes, spaces and sunrises.

True to Morning People form, your early start is rewarded with complimentary coffee from Altezano Brothers, fresh All Good bananas, and Karma Drinks NZ

This time we’re switching things up - Saturday morning, a slightly later start, and a birthday dress code in full effect. Sequins, suits, gowns, PJs - whatever says Happy 10th Birthday Morning People.

CHRISTCHURCH: WE’RE GOING INDOORS 🪩

The weather isn’t on our side, but we’ve got it covered - literally.

We are delighted to announce that we have been granted The Great Hall at The Christchurch Arts Centre as the finalised location for Saturday’s morning rave. Keeping the art centre at the heart of the party feels right.
While we’re excited to take things outdoors in the future, Summer isn’t quite summering just yet. Papahou/The Black Box is another incredible space that we will be using in the future.

See you this Saturday for 2XM in The Great Hall for our collab with World Buskers Festival ✨

Thanks to 103 Sound System, Technical Event Solutions and of course The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora for making everything possible.
