The First Friday of every month, Join small businesses in the Heights neighborhood of Tampa, FL for a monthly event series.

Focused on art, small business, and community building. Check out the posts and event listing for the themes each month. On the First Friday of each month, Seminole Heights lights up with creativity! Join us for a rotating series of events featuring live music, pop-up shops, art shows, food & drink specials, and more. Come out, support local, and connect with your community. First Friday in the Heights, April’s theme is “Rooted in the Heights”, honoring the Earth in all ways, sustainable living, and community building. Come and join your local shops along Florida Ave for a fun variety of activations, from 6 to 10pm. As always, we will have the stamp card promotion going, where you can enter to win a prize package with items from each location.

are hosting their annual free clothing swap. Bring up to 10 gently used items to swap with your neighbors, all genders, sizes, and ages are welcome. Drop off is from 6:30 to 7:30, then come back at 8pm to swap! Take as many items as you brought, all free! Help eliminate clothing waste by swapping.

will have a DIY craft table with found and recycled items.

A charity-focused night where every stop is highlighting a local organization, hands-on activity, or way to give back — while still keeping it fun, creative, and very Heights.

Celebrate with Valentine’s cookies, friendship bracelets, and tarot readings — sweet treats and cosmic insight included.

🔥 SLOW BURN: Easing Into the New Year 🔥
This January, First Friday invites you to slow your pace and soften your landing into the new year. Slow Burn is about candlelight over fireworks, intention over resolution, and taking your time as you wander the neighborhood.

Expect cozy corners, creative rituals, mindful movement, music that warms instead of rushes, and moments of connection you didn’t know you needed. Come for an hour or make a night of it — this is a choose-your-own rhythm kind of First Friday.

✨ Here’s what’s happening around the neighborhood:

Intentional candles and epsom salts to support New Year rituals and gentle intention setting.

Fire Spin Jam & Dance Party featuring House, Deep House, and Global Bass.
Spectators welcome — bring camp chairs or blankets.
Fire spinners must attend the required 7:45PM safety orientation and bring their own white gas.

Every guest receives a free healthier alternative cookie to take home — a sweet, mindful start to the year.

Winter Listening Room with
Pen Pal Station — write a short wish, poem, or message that will be randomly mailed to another participant who opts in.

Dream Jar Workshop with
Create a keepsake filled with quotes, goals, and dreams to revisit throughout the year.
