Prior to ice storm we were called on yet another canada goose wrapped in fishing line. Talked finder thru how to catch and contain and get did and was so excited lol. One of my volunteers went friday night and picked up the goose, foot was barely hanging on. Fishing line was removed and this happened. Goose felt better once it had fallen off. There's no exposed bone and she will adapt.
This right here is what discarded fishing line causes. One of many we've taken in since jan 1rst. Few of the others the damage was to severe and we had to say goodbye
