After an incredibly successful split weekend of a phenomenal Saigon H3 city hash run by the ladies, and a widely successful debacle-free weekend in Nha Trang run by S3H3 - we come to the obvious dilemma – how do we come back together, and how do we celebrate international women’s day? I think the answer could not be more obvious. Beer (or coke or cider or wine or snake whiskey) and a Friday hash where the Harriettes and the Sophisticated Sirs revel together in the streets of Saigon.
Who would organize such an affair, such an intimate fusion of Harriers and Harriettes? Clearly only the strongest women in the world. Did you know that the Trung sisters rode badass elephants to lead an army to chase out foreign invaders (probably Aussies) in 40 BCE? And I’m not only talking about Vietnamese women being badass. Dutch women had their own trials by fire, adverse conditions, and horrific monsters to deal with – many of whom are regular harriers in Saigon.
Nevertheless, these Vietnamese and Dutch ladies are survivors, heroes, and have volunteered to hare this epic first collaboration between the Harriettes and the Sophisticated Sirs. So cm ladies, cm men, and lets all cm together this Friday.
In the famous words of an infamous fighter for equality and justice: “Women hold up half the sky”! Happy International Women’s Day!
