Ellipsis Collective A collective of artists and musicians throwing multi-genre music and art events. The event will be held at the Art Factory - a new downtown venue.

Ellipsis Collective and Utah Regional Burning Man Decompression are teaming up this year to bring you one special Halloween night of music, mayhem, and celebration of burning man art and culture. In addition to what you've come to know and love about Decompression, Ellipsis Collective is bringing its third installment of the live art / performance / music experience known as the Wave Sessions. The

freshest of music combined with art installations, performances, music, dance and the burning man spirit. This will be THE Halloween party not to miss. Dress to impress. Spooky or burny, you choose. But this is Halloween, so go all out. The music, provided by Ellipsis Collective:

What is "wave music"? Like dubstep, wave is an underground genre born in London and spread quickly across the internet, slowly becoming a worldwide musical force. Ellipsis Collective intends to blow it up in here in the states and have been working dilligently to do so. Picture the spacy 808 beat swag of trap, the subby rumbles and halftime pace of dubstep, the dense emotion of sad boy rap, the icy melancholy of witch house, the sci-fi savoir faire of instrumental grime, the loose formula-free experimentalism of the LA beat scene and the synthetic aesthetic of vapor wave… If any of those genres have touched you, wave will, too. This wave session will be massive. All the way from London, we have one of the true pioneers of the wave sound: Kareful. Heavily involved in Wavemob and the promotion of the wave scene at large, Kareful is a huge figure in the scene. And his music and sound are truly unparallelled. Check the mesmerizing track Backwards here: https://soundcloud.com/mrsuicidesheep/kareful-backwards or his newest effort h20 here: https://soundcloud.com/karefuluk/h2o

Also from wavemob, we are joined by San Diego's Harukasuka. Harukasuka has been producing avant-garde hip-hop-inspired wave music for years and is one of the most recent inductees to Wavemob. Check out his track Feelings here: https://soundcloud.com/harukasuka/feelings

And, if you need even more, we will also be joined by Chicago-based wave producer Kavern. Kavern's experimental wave style ranges from ambient downtempo to post-trap and everything inbetween. Check out his latest collab with M!NGO here: https://soundcloud.com/kavern-beats/kavern-x-mngo-burn

Resident and long-time burners Syn.Aesthetic and Adequate D will be joined by dubstep pioneer and scene-builder illoom for this special night of music and art.

Geri Cordova is a Latina Utah native and a prolific Multi-Medium Artist living in Salt Lake City. As a young girl Geri found inspiration in the ornate displays, stained glass windows and rich vibrant colors of the inside of the Catholic Church. Living across the street from her veiled grandmother Juanita Ruperta Cordova and attending Church with her everyday. After Church she followed her to the Catholic Thrift Store where she worked for many years. The Thrift Store is where she got her flair for vintage attire and up-cycling anything old she could make new again. This influence has never her as you see her adorned daily with painted shoes and an eclectic combination of mismatched tchotchkes made into clothing.

Geri's high school years were very active, she studied dance, leadership and excelled in art. In an attempt to earn money for college she entered the Miss Hispanic Utah Scholarship Pageant, Vocational Industrial Arts Competition and various other ways to earn scholarships to study art. Dixie College in St. George Utah was her first stop and then landed in Arizona. Computer Graphics seemed to be the career choice of a fast paced creative mind to explore. After receiving a Communication Arts Degree she came back to Utah. She began teaching art classes to inspire students but ended up "landing" a job in the travel industry briefly. Our beautiful nations colors and culture made it a round trip back to her passion - ART. Geri remained a Graphic Artist for many years and found a place as an Industrial Designer longing for BIGGER designs and MUCH bigger projects. This self-taught painter found that creativity is limitless with a mixture of raw materials, up-cycled items...and course, paint. Geri is a known "Dumpster Diver" and "Upcycler" of many treasures around Salt Lake City. Driven and no longer able to sit at a desk to create - she quit her job and to give it a shot as an "Artist in ALL things Art". Shockingly she even found her self doing home interior make-overs and upcyling the IN and OUT doors of out dated homes. "There are no mistakes in Art and Creativity is Limitless - If you can see it in your head, you can make it!" she says.

Geri Cordova quickly found herself in the media appearing on several local television programs, podcasts and in print showcasing the endless possibilities of bringing her clients ideas to life and and bringing new life to their old things. She is also becoming a social media darling with a large number of followers on several social media sites. This colorful creative coined herself as not just an "Artist", but a "heARTIST" and says, "When Life gives you a blemish, put a little paint on it and call it a beauty mark!"

In her three years as a freelancer in "ALL THINGS ART," Geri adds color to the lives of many terminal children, brings Art Therapy to the adolescence at the Juvenile Detention Center in SLC and also, volunteers in activities in the LGBT Community. A guest speaker in many classrooms inspiring creative minds in Art Exploration is also part of her itinerary. Geri Cordova is a Prolific Creative and says that, "MANY THINGS can me made beautiful again - if you just give it your "heART!"

Meet Penny Lanzarotta, one of our artists for Mustache Bash. If you were at Heart On 2017, you saw Penny's amazing chalk art.

Penny is a well-traveled, eccentric Salt Lake City native. They've always been involved with visual arts, and in recent years developed a love for all kinds of mediums. Using interests in strange, random, scary, and beautiful themes they have created a collection of monsters, fantasy landscapes, and advertisements. Should you see them, say Hi! Penny is always welcoming and open for more friendships.

We are so thrilled to feature Headphone Activist as this year's Mustache Bash headliner.

Starting off 2020 with a massive back catalog release and a recent signing to Berlin record label Stereofox. Headphone Activist continues to find new and innovative ways to share his love of music with the world.

After years of traveling and sharing his music with people from all over the world, he has decided to build a unique set for this evening, he is bringing together a collection of new music, his and dubs from his friends,, records that have inspired him over the past 12 years, and a collection of one-offs he has always wanted to play live but has yet to have the perfect setting to share those sounds.

"I am really excited about this show, a lot of the time I can feel pressured to remain "relevant" with what I play live, or I may tend to focus on showcasing more of my original music but miss out on hearing a lot of music I would like to hear on a big system but it is overshadowed by my own work. This set is going to be special, I am really excited to share it with you all." - Headphone Activist

A rare picture of SynAesthetic immediately before he was arrested for stealing a Trans-Am and trying to fuel it with Jägermeister while disturbing the peace with the loudest ever recorded noise complaint involving Lynyrd Skynyrd. Don’t let Syn.Aesthetic’s mellow music fool you, he is a mustachioed mullethead at heart. Join him while he fights his inner hessian nature to play some savory tunes for you at the the Mustach Bash.

Are y'all ready for some .:deCay:.??

Born and raised on the mean streets of North Tooele, .:deCay:., AKA Dave DeCay, started his DJ “career” when he was a prime 17 years old. Attending his first party @ the infamous playSchool, he was given an introduction into the thriving SLC underground rave scene which ignited his drive to DJ domination.

In 1997, aged 20, he procured his first set of decks and began hammering out mixes of hard house, jungle, and gangster rap. At this point he was already being touted as Salt Lake Cities' answer to world hunger, social injustice and seriously boring DJs. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as “DJ doesn’t matter”, “probably a famous guy”, “big name DJ dude”, and a slew of other rising talent. In 2009, he achieved his big break when deCay partnered with other creative types to start theHIVEcollective. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at big events such as WTFestival and the BurningMans, where he was sorta-famous...

Suffice to say, the world DJ scene has probably never really noticed what the deCay has accomplished, but none of that matters. He’s known for murdering your face with bass, and gently cradling you back to the sexy side of the mix. Always busy on the decks with an eclectic selection of sexy sounds, deCay doesn’t disappoint. He murders. Your face. With bass...

Born of the drive to keep new, experimental music flowing through the Salt Lake City underground, Ellipsis Collective is a strange mash-up of thinkers, musicians, visual artists, sound-junkies, and storytellers. The collective aims to develop themed concerts combining lesser known amazing electronic music on our monster sound system with immersive, interactive art experiences. Come for the music and you may experience live performance art – painting, sculpture, fabric work, light design, dance. The idea is collaboration and exploration, and we’re often as surprised as our guests what will emerge.

We know there is an incredible amount of unknown, unnoticed, and under-appreciated talent all over the world. As veterans in SLC’s underground/warehouse music scene, and with experience in the festival scene, we will be bringing in up-and-coming electronic music producers and DJs from all over the country and the world. Focused primarily on (but not limited to): Wave and bass music, avant-garde electronic music. It is our goal to provide a medium for fans of dance music to discover new artists that may quickly become their new favorites.
