Event Decor Styling Tips:

* Encourage your clients to book at least 3 months in advance

* Visit the venue asap. Bring your measure materials, a notebook & pen and take as many comments/ notes , pictures and videos as possible

* Draw and write out your vision as a starting map be prepared to change this vision multiple times (creatives are never satisfied lol)

* Set a budget & purchase all of your materials & equipment. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS FOR TAX TIME

* Start building and creating your D.I.Y projects or the projects that require the most labor first as this will take up most of your time

* Create a check list to stay organized as you work through your tasks

* Pack up your loading truck 1-2 days prior to the event “setup date” to ensure you have everything you need

* If the venue grants it, always ask to set up the day before. This will ease your mind! This will also give you time to fix mishaps as they will happen.

* If you have a team of helpers assign jobs so setup time goes faster

* On the day of the event have your phone charged and nearby to be available for your clients to ensure you’re giving them a piece of mind

* Arrive at the venue 1 hour before the event start time to get as many pictures & videos for your business social pages & website.

* Never leave before your client gets there, always ensure they are satisfied with the work that was done & you both agree on the breakdown time.

* Always ask your clients for personal videos and pictures. Get permission to use them for content as well as self motivation. So when those long days get the best of you you’re reminded by the smiles why you started.
