The Dada Cabaret Destruction By Mockery The Dadaist movement was the beginning of any punk and pop movement of today. Contact via email at [email protected]

Inspired by Cabaret Voltaire, which prompted the Dadaist
Movement in 1916 in Zurich by Hugo Ball, and consisted of such visionaries as Tristan Tzara, Marcel Duchamp, and Man Ray. The Cabaret Voltaire was a cross between a nightclub and an art society where young artists and poets were invited to bring along their ideas and contributions, read their poems aloud, hang their pictures, sing, dance, an

d play music. It aimed at destroying all bourgeois notions of polite society with authenticity of human spontaneity. It was an outburst of activity that aimed at provoking the public, destroying traditional notions of good taste, and liberation from the constrictions of daily life. The Dada Cabaret is a performance troupe that cannot be defined by one category, such as burlesque, but bleeds into as many facets as our imaginations can conjur, in order to entertain and invigorate our audiences with the magic of raucous art, mischief, mockery, satire, sensuality, the avant garde, and the taboo. The troupe currently boasts several trained dancers, from various disciplines, dramatists, visual artists, designers, and musicians, brought together for your viewing pleasure.
