Our Cardamom Quest continues for part II. We still haven’t found it - because this highball variation features the elusive flavors of black cardamom, which impart an aroma of campfire and earth rather than the astringent green cardamom pods we’re most familiar with. It’s a great accompaniment to the subtle peat of the Iwai 45.

Some cocktails we know will be misunderstood or overlooked because of obscure ingredients. “Carmen Miranda” is definitely a hidden gem on our Winter menu. Pox (pronounced “pōsh”), an ancient Mayan spirit, plays with a blend of two rums to make this Kingston Negroni sing. The Bitter Banana liqueur reminds us of Campari in its bitterness with a fierce backbone of brown banana peels. Our favorite sweet vermouth of the moment brings everything back down to earth. Don’t miss this one!

Each season, we can count on a sour style mezcal drink to be our top seller. And we get it, we really do! Especially when it comes to the “Call It Cozy, Please” - because the way the tart tamarind, sour orange and sweet green walnut come together with the subtle smoke of mezcal, all under the hoppy froth of brown ale foam.. damn if it doesn’t make us want to mind our manners.
