Check out our Call for Visual and Performing Artists!!!!

Queertopia is an annual q***r art performance event and exhibition that takes place during Pride. Queertopia is curated by artists who are q***r, Two Spirit, trans, non-binary, Black, Latinx, white, mixed, and multiracial. We are a collectively run q***r and gender-ungovernable art project that values decentering whiteness and toxic masculinity (cuz who has time for all that? not us!).

As we continue to center BIPOC and trans folks in our work, this year we are encouraging to the front q***rs who are trans women, Indigenous, Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, and elders! We give priority to artists who are new to Queertopia or have not shown work with the project recently. We seek a range of genres, aesthetics, and experiences.

Installation Artist Feature: Alexandria Kewitt!

Listen;Digest is an interactive and theatrical offering that gathers us together to stitch our description of consent, illuminate stories of harm, and celebrate needs and desires spoken through the body.

"The body is fierce and resilient. I’ve found incredible moments of healing with my body in community through contact improvisation, butoh, authentic movement, and yoga. Art making and movement are valuable tools in my dialog with trauma. My practice in sculpture, installation, 2D works and dance respond to my interest in how the creative process and movement can foster healing, intimacy, catharsis and play."

Alex's work will be on view in OU(te)R LIMITS on Wednesday 6/20 after the mainstage performance, Saturday 6/23 4pm-6pm and after the mainstage performance!

Installation Artist Feature: Sami Pfeffer!

Sami Pfeffer is a white q***r performance artist. They write plays, make films, and build installations. They create uncomfortable spaces-- consensually-- to ask for and offer the vulnerability of communal healing.

Sami's work will be on view in OU(te)R LIMITS on Wednesday 6/20 after the mainstage performance, Saturday 6/23 4pm-6pm and after the mainstage performance!

Performing Artist Feature: Katapult is a collaboration between performance-makers Elle Toni, Kat Luna, and Kat Purcell.

Katapult is a q***r device that we use to launch ourselves into bold creative risk taking. Anxious and brave, Katapult is loaded with serious play, physical struggle, misfit text, audiovisual feats, and only our very best mistakes. You can’t find us online; please come talk to us after the show! We’re thrilled to be Queertopia-ing with you.
