Let’s Talk About the Logo.
We recently came across social media conversations about our ATABEY logo, and we want to address it honestly.
When we started, we first used Fiverr, then hired a local artist, Aaron Baker, the person who runs Ithaca Sign Works, to create our logo and additional branding. Unfortunately, after receiving payment, he disappeared, leaving us with unfinished work and what we later realized may have been an AI-generated design. We were even provided a vector file, which we believed confirmed the work was original.
We’re not graphic designers. We trusted the process, and we may have missed things we didn’t know to look for. To those who feel offended by the logo, we hear you. We genuinely tried to go through the proper channels and support a local artist.
But here’s what we can stand behind 100%: THE FOOD IS REAL. Made from scratch. Our ingredients are hand-picked, prepped, seasoned, and made in our kitchen for you.
We may not have gotten every part of the journey perfect, but our passion for Puerto Rican food and culture has always been genuine.
Come for the logo conversation. Stay for the comida. 🇵🇷🤍
