Herman Lee Finley III was born on September 12, 1984, in Houston, Texas. He was the second oldest of 19 siblings from his father and the youngest of two from his mother. Growing up in a large family, Herman learned the value of community and support from an early age. He graduated from Jack Yates Senior High School in Houston in 2003, where he developed a passion for helping others. Initially pursuing a career in the arts, Herman attended the Art Institute of Houston to study interior design. However, his path took a significant turn when he found his calling in the healthcare field. He began his career at St. Hope Foundation as a Health Education Risk Reduction Coordinator, where he worked for 15 years, focusing on HIV prevention and health education.
Currently, Herman serves as a phlebotomist, research assistant, and recruiter for the University of Texas Houston School of Public Health. He is also an Outreach Specialist and educator for the AAMA (Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans) and the Director of Outreach and Volunteer Services for Pride Houston 365. His diverse roles reflect his commitment to public health, community engagement, and advocacy for marginalized populations. In addition to his healthcare career, Herman is the owner of House of Blaque Marketing & Multi-Service Group, established in 2010. He also owns Blaque Room Lounge HTX, an all-inclusive space where patrons can enjoy “Your Ultimate Fantasy Experience.” Blaque Room Lounge was established in 2023, formerly known as Colors Strip Club, which was founded in 2020.
Herman is the biological father of two boys, Caiden Robinson and Christian Green. He also fathers four adopted children: Asia Johnson, Winter Williamson, Kingston Evans, and Kyrese Yancy. Additionally, Herman has embraced the role of a community father by creating his own house named the House of Blaque, where he provides support and mentorship to youth and others in need. Known for his warm personality and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, he enjoys art, music, and volunteering in his free time, further demonstrating his passion for uplifting others.
