Trivia is BACK, BABY!! We normally host trivia on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, but since we were closed last Sunday for an off-site event, we're having a special "fifth Sunday" trivia night tonight! Gather your wits and your friends and come out for eight rounds of brain-twisting quizzery spanning pop culture, history, current events, science, sports, geography, and more, including audio and visual challenges! You may have noticed our new menu rolling out for summer....that's right, as always with our seasonal changes, the core menu items stay the same, with lots of other limited time goodies swapped in! Just a sample of some of the new things we rolled out this past week:

Avocado toast with goat cheese, chili crisp egg, everything bagel seasoning

Garden vegetable soup with mini grilled cheese

Watermelon salad with goat cheese, basil, and balsamic reduction

Peach, arugula, and bleu cheese salad with red onion, pepitas, balsamic dressing

Street corn jalapeno poppers

Loaded duchess potatoes (with sour cream, cheese, bacon, and green onions)

Sweet & Spicy Burger with havarti cheese, candied jalapenos and pineapples, and Japanese BBQ mayo

Skillet chicken or veggie pot pie

Philly dog (topped with onions, green peppers, havarti, and mayo)

Pineapple coconut cream sorbet

Strawberry cake (with cream cheese frosting, fresh strawberries, and strawberry coulis)

Coming up this week at The Catamount!

Thursday 5/28 (8-10 PM): Live music from Sowder @ The Catamount Lounge! Sowder is a duo that plays music from multiple decades as well as genres. Josh and his wife Kimberly have many years of combined musical experience and enjoy bringing good vibes and a fun song selection to any venue.

Friday 5/29 (8 PM-12 AM): Karaoke with DJ Jan!

Saturday 5/30 (Doors 5PM; Show 6-9 PM): Icons, Idols, and Illusions Drag Show (sponsored by Front Royal Pride)! NOTE: this is a ticketed event and will be closed to the public except for ticket holders. Tickets are currently sold out. We'll reopen to the public after 9 PM this night!

Sunday 5/31 (7 PM): Quizzery and Trivialities with Chris K! Since we were closed on our usual trivia night last Sunday, it's been rescheduled to the 31st. Test your knowledge and pick your brains through quiz questions, visuals, audio clues, and more! Theme songs!! Prizes!!!! And more!!!! Hosted by Chris Christopher Allen Kenworthy.

Monday 6/1 (7-10 PM): Open Mic Night! Come share your music, your jokes, your poems, your magic...all performance arts welcome! If you can perform it in 15 minutes, we want to see it. Thursday 5/21 (8-10 PM): Live music from Rich Ridgell @ The Catamount Lounge! Rich Ridgell is a songwriter and flatpicker whose music moves through the sounds of bluegrass, folk, country, and blues. With just a guitar and a voice, he tells quiet stories about love, loss, and learning to live with both. Rooted in tradition and shaped by experience, his songs aim for honesty more than perfection — something real to hold on to.

Saturday 5/23 (8:30 PM): Chris K's Circus of Chaos: A Night of Magic, Music, and Standup Comedy Mayhem! Join us for the ultimate chaos circus of tunes, tricks, and tickle-your-funny-bone jokes! Starring birthday boy Christopher Allen Kenworthy, with sets by John E. Magic, Los Vegas, Monica Daly, Keither Becker, Brian Sargis, Kenani, Jesse Bickford as "Dad Stache," and other surprise guests! Hosted by The Crone (of The Crone and The Crow band)!

Coming up this week at The Cat!

Thursday 5/14 (8-10 PM): Live music from The Lonesome Millies @ The Catamount Lounge! The Lonesome Millies are a trio of local folk musicians covering a range of Americana, country and roots artists as well as original tunes. Featuring Wayne Turner (mandolin), Maureen Day (guitar and vocals), and Pete Bresnan (guitar and vocals).

Friday 5/15 (8 PM-12 AM): Karaoke with DJ Jan!

Saturday 5/16 (8-11 PM): Live music from The Dan James Band @ The Catamount Lounge! The Dan James Band is a five-piece alternative-folk-rock group hailing from Front Royal, VA consisting of Max Bieryla (drums), Brian Mathias (bass), Collin Finnell (lead guitar), Andy Laird (fiddle), and singer-songwriter Dan James. Their blend of soulful vocals, introspective lyrics, and groovy instrumentation create an inviting atmosphere, mirroring the environment of the Shenandoah Valley that they call home. The Dan James band has a substantial catalog of original tunes and covers classic country, folk, rock and R&B.

Sunday 5/17 (5-10 PM): Tarot Night! Our immensely popular tarot night returns, with our talented readers Julieta and Leena here to offer you insight into your past, present, and potential future, and help you learn about the art of tarot and interpreting the cards you pull. Julieta and Leena will be set up at The Catamount from 5-10 PM offering tarot or oracle card readings while you enjoy delicious food and cocktails! Readings are free but tipping is encouraged. Guests are also encouraged to bring their own tarot cards! Sign up will be first come first serve.
