Why did I start the Book called, "Everybody Hates Karen?"
1. Personal Connection: The inspiration for my book came from the real-life incident involving the white lady who called the police on the black 'bird watcher.' This incident caught my attention and sparked my curiosity. As I delved into the subject, I realized there were no books or movies addressing it. This motivated me to start with a screenplay and later expand it into a book.
2. Behind-the-Scenes: My creative process began with the viral incidents of 'The Karen' phenomenon happening throughout the country. I wanted to explore what could drive a person like Karen to act in such a way, displaying entitlement, anger, jealousy, and a quickness to involve the police. The story's foundation came to me when I considered the possibility of Karen's abusive upbringing, which served as a plausible explanation for her behavior.
3. Themes and Motifs: The central theme of my book revolves around 'The Karen' phenomenon, which gained notoriety in the 2010s. This viral trend, with its various aspects, served as a focal point for my narrative.
4. Character Insights: Karen, the main character, was crafted to be enigmatic, intriguing, and highly intelligent. I wanted her to possess a sharp wit, a sense of humor, and a unique complexity that would engage and captivate readers.
6. Future Projects: I'm excited to share that my next project is a sequel to this episode, titled "Everybody Hates Karen: Karen Digs Her Heels." I'm nearing completion, and I can't wait to continue Karen's story.
7. Interact with Readers: I welcome readers to reach out and connect with me through various platforms. You can contact me via email at [email protected] or find me on TikTok .
9. Closing Thoughts: I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for taking the time to get to know me and my storytelling journey. Let's embark on this adventure together, and I hope you thoroughly enjoy the book!
