We’re excited to welcome Krista Young to Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 as a Country Swing Mentor!

Krista brings a lifetime of movement experience to the floor, with a background spanning dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading. Her training includes everything from ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballroom to Country Swing, Line Dance, and West Coast Swing—giving her an incredibly well-rounded perspective on movement, partnership, and performance.

She’s spent nearly a decade developing her Country Swing and Line Dance skills and made an impressive climb to the WSDC All-Star division in just over a year of competing in West Coast Swing. Along the way, Krista has earned State and National championship titles and top placements across All-Star, Instructor, and Professional Country Swing and Line Dance divisions. 🏆🔥

When she’s not competing, Krista coaches high school cheer, teaches throughout Arizona, travels to dance events across the country, choreographs, and works one-on-one with dancers through private lessons.

Now she’s bringing all of that experience to the Forever Country Dance Fest Mentor Team, where dancers will have the opportunity to work with her in a more focused setting, ask questions, troubleshoot challenges, and get personalized feedback to help take their Country Swing to the next level.

We’re thrilled to have Krista mentoring with us in Dallas this November! 🤠❤️

Introducing the Country Swing “Three for All” Trio Competition at Forever Country Dance Fest!

Grab your trio and get ready for a Country Swing competition unlike anything else on the floor. Three dancers take the floor together, but here’s the twist…

🔄 You must switch partners every 8 counts.

We’re looking for timing, musicality, connection, creativity, smooth transitions, and the ability to adapt on the fly—all while keeping the energy HIGH and having a whole lot of fun. 🤠

And there’s one more catch:

👢 Each trio must include three dancers from different NCDC Country Swing levels.

🌟 Welcome to the Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 Country Swing Staff — J.P. Vaughan! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome J.P. Vaughan to the Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 Country Swing staff!

J.P. is a competitor, instructor, mentor, and the founder of Stars of Swing, a rapidly growing dance community in Arizona built around connection, character, camaraderie, and a shared love of Country Swing.

J.P. also holds a pretty incredible place in Country Swing history: he became the FIRST dancer to achieve Country Swing All Star status on the National Country Dance Circuit (NCDC)! 🏆🔥

His teaching blends connection, creativity, and collaboration, creating classes that are technical without losing the personality and fun that make Country Swing so special. Whether he’s preparing dancers for competition, mentoring the next generation, or tearing up the social floor, J.P.’s big personality and playful approach make learning from him an experience.

But for J.P., growing Country Swing is about more than creating great dancers. Through Stars of Swing, he’s built a culture centered on leadership, teamwork, integrity, and showing up for the community both on and off the floor.

We’re excited to welcome Madison Jantzen to Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 as part of our Line Dance staff!

A powerhouse both on and off the floor, Madison brings an incredibly diverse background in dance, acrobatics, and competition. From ballet and contemporary to Country Two-Step, West Coast Swing, line dance, and partner acrobatics, her versatility gives her a unique eye for technique, musicality, movement quality, and performance.

And she’s got the competition resume to back it up:

✨ WELCOME BACK TO FOREVER COUNTRY DANCE FEST — FLEETA BURNS! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Fleeta Burns back to Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 as part of our Line Dance staff!

Fleeta has quite literally been dancing nearly her entire life. She started at just two years old, went on to earn a Dance & Theatre degree from Chapman University, and has performed in more than 40 productions, including The Nutcracker, West Side Story, Pippin, and Fame. Her dance journey eventually brought her to the Texas country scene, where she became a driving force behind the Texas Line Dance Mission.

Today, Fleeta brings a lifetime of performance, choreography, teaching, and judging experience to the floor. She has taught and judged at events including The Edge, Dance XL, YESSS, and Forever Country, judged for USDLCC, and choreographed multiple award-winning routines. You may also recognize her from the fun and educational line dance content she creates with bootscootin! 👢

Whether she’s breaking down choreography in a workshop or bringing her experienced eye to the judges’ table, Fleeta combines knowledge with the warmth, energy, and positivity that make dancers feel right at home.

✨ Welcome to the Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 Two-Step Mentor Team — Emily Andrews! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Emily Andrews to Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 as a Two-Step Mentor!

Originally from Houston and now based in Dallas, Emily’s country dance journey started on the line dance floor at a small bar in Lewisville. With years of social dancing and bar-floor experience behind her, she discovered Two-Step in August 2025—and that’s when everything clicked.

Emily dove headfirst into the style, quickly developing a passion for the technique, musicality, connection, and performance quality that make Two-Step so special. A performer at heart, she’s known for bringing an explosive, captivating energy to the floor while maintaining a strong technical focus.

Her passion for growing the country dance community extends beyond her own dancing. From Fall 2025 through Spring 2026, Emily led UNT’s Country Western Dance Club, helping create opportunities for other dancers to learn, connect, and become part of the community.

Emily’s relatively recent start in Two-Step also gives her a valuable perspective as a mentor—she remembers exactly what it’s like to be learning, figuring things out, and having that moment when it finally clicks.

We’re excited to have Emily joining our Two-Step Mentor Team and can’t wait for y’all to learn, grow, and share the floor with her this November! 🤠🔥

🤠 Welcome to the Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 Two Step Mentor Lineup — Alberto De La Cruz 🤠

Alberto’s journey into country dancing began during his time at Texas A&M University, where he started dancing more socially and quickly fell in love with the community, connection, and energy that partner dancing brings. In February 2025, he picked up traditional Two-Step, beginning what would quickly become a competitive journey.

Just a month later, in March 2025, Alberto earned his first Two-Step win at Forever Country Dance Jam after training with his first mentor, Clay Morrison, for only a month. That early success fueled his passion for competition and motivated him to continue learning, training, and challenging himself against some of the best dancers in the Two-Step community.

Since then, Alberto has continued to compete and grow, earning multiple Two-Step wins through the Country Two-Step Tour (CTST) and multiple Progressive buckles, while now competing in the UCWDC circuit.

Alberto has developed a strong understanding of Two-Step fundamentals, musicality, connection, and framework, with a focus on building a solid foundation that allows dancers to become more confident, intentional, and adaptable on the dance floor.

As a mentor, Alberto is excited to share what he has learned throughout his journey and help dancers strengthen their fundamentals, improve their musicality and framework, and become more confident and intentional partners.

We’re excited to welcome Alberto De La Cruz to the Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 Two Step mentor lineup and can’t wait for y’all to learn from him this November! 🔥🤠
