CHRISTMAS in JULY

Every year, the Interfaith Council in Carbondale (CIC) helps local families and neighbors who are having a difficult time during the Christmas season. They provide special gifts and support that remind people they haven't been forgotten.
We're especially grateful to First Christian Church, our dance home. They open their doors to us every month and never charge us to use this wonderful space. One way we'd like to say thank you is by joining them in supporting the Interfaith Council's annual Christmas campaign.
Starting this month and continuing through December, we'll be collecting donations. If you're able to give this month, wonderful. If not, that's okay too. You can still help by telling others about the campaign and encouraging them to support it.
It's hard to think about Christmas when it's so hot outside, but the families who are struggling to pay electric bills to stay cool this summer will likely face those same struggles paying heating bills and providing Christmas for their children just a few months from now. By giving a little throughout the year, we can make a real difference when December arrives.
And because it's Christmas in July, we'll have Christmas cookies, festive punch, and a special barbecue Christmas dinner to enjoy together.
Thank you for being part of a dance community that cares not only for one another, but for our neighbors as well. Merry Christmas... in July!
