We run this with The Pride Center of Maryland on the first Wednesday of every month, and it is *free*.

How the night goes:
🕖 7:00 mix, mingle, light refreshments
💃🕺 45 minute salsa lesson
🌹 45 minute bachata lesson
✨ Social dancing to close it out

*Here is the part I really want you to hear.* Everybody learns both leading and following. If you have been dancing follow for years and you have been curious about leading, this is the room to try it in. If you lead and you have never followed, same. Nobody is going to look at you sideways. That is the whole point of how we run this one.

LGBTQ+ community and allies, all welcome. No partner needed, no experience needed, all levels.

Saturday Workshops in Harbor East. Three 90-minute sessions, $30 each or all three for $75. Registration required.

Wednesday, September 16
Open Practice Social, 7-9:30PM, Harbor East. Donation based. All levels, no partner needed.

Thursday, September 17
Latin Pulse Thursdays at Motte, 7-11PM. $10 entry, 18+.

Saturday, September 19
The Deck, 7PM to midnight. Outdoor lesson and social, donation based. Salsa, bachata, cumbia, merengue.

Saturday, September 26
Indoor Latin Dance Pool Party, 12-5PM at Coppermine Harbor East. Only 50 tickets. Early bird available now.

The dances you love didn't come out of nowhere. 🔥

Solo Technique: Afro Movements with guest instructor Sheena Black-Thomas. Saturday, September 5, 1:45 to 3:15 PM at Coppermine Harbor East.

This is not an African dance class. This is 90 minutes inside the movement foundation that shaped Latin dance itself. Isolations, weight, groove, control. The things that make styling look like yours instead of borrowed.

Solo work, so no partner needed. Sheena will challenge how you move in the best possible way, and you walk out dancing differently no matter what style you dance.

Técnica Solo: Movimientos Afro con la instructora invitada Sheena Black-Thomas. Sábado 5 de septiembre, 1:45 a 3:15 PM en Coppermine Harbor East.

Esto no es una clase de danza africana. Son 90 minutos dentro de la base de movimiento que le dio forma al baile latino. Aislamientos, peso, groove, control. Lo que hace que tu estilo se sienta tuyo y no prestado.

Es trabajo solo, no necesitas pareja. Sheena va a retar tu manera de moverte de la mejor forma posible, y sales bailando distinto sin importar qué estilo bailes.

COMMUNITY VOICES :: Come with your people, or come make new ones.

This week you’re hearing from four friends, two couples, who decided to try something new together.

That’s how a lot of people start. Somebody says come with me, and the rest takes care of itself. But you don’t need a crew and you don’t need a partner. Plenty of people walk in alone on week one and walk out with a whole group chat.

No experience, no partner, no pressure. Just a room full of people learning together and having a good time doing it.

Come make your own experience. Our next beginner Salsa and Bachata 1A series starts Monday, September 7. Registration is open now, and there are no walk-ins once the series begins, so grab your spot early.
