WOW! I am beyond happy with how this event turned out! I’m slightly emotional about it. I have so many thank you’s I need to put out there. It’s gonna be long but I’d appreciate y’all sticking through the whole thing haha!
First and foremost, thank you so much to everyone who came and supported. I love this community we have in Texas. From SA, to Houston, Dallas, everywhere in between, and of course Austin ❤️
Thank you to those who sponsored the strictly with event passes! Swing Crush in SA which is coming up this February with an insane line up that you can’t miss, LoneStar Invitational - Country Dance which always puts on an awesome country and west coast event here in Austin that you should 100% partake in, and Westie Remix HD in Dallas who run fantastic workshop events in Dallas and are largely responsible for inspiring me to do this. A special thank you to Britni of WRHD for helping mentor me through some of this, I would have been lost in so many ways without your advice.
A massive thank you to my incredible instructing staff Stephen, Larisa, KP, Damon, and Christine. Y’all did amazing! Im so appreciative of KP for stepping in so last minute being so accommodating. I was a massive fan of you as a dancer (as I’ve told you now far too many times), but now I’m an even bigger fan of you as a person. Stephen and Larisa, the headliners of this event…where do I start, damn…Stephen, you and I have just vibed since day one. You’re a rad and fun human being who I could hangout with all day any day, and you bring so much passion and energy into your teaching, it’s incredible to watch. Larisa, I can’t remember the last time I vibed with someone’s sense of humor so much. My god you’re such a cool fun person. Just so you know we’re like ride or die homies now, whether you like it or not...and you’re also just such a passionate and articulate teacher who radiates good energy…and also has the best analogies
Thank you to my DJ’s: Matt, dude you don’t play around. Your set up and professionalism is second to none. Emily and Branden, y’all killed it too! All 3 of you played non-stop great music all night long and I know everyone appreciated it!
