What is a GEM?

When you hear the word GEM what comes to mind? To most people a GEM is a natural material that is desirable for its beauty, valuable in its rarity, and durable enough to last through time. The unique brilliance, luster, and fire of a GEM makes it stand out from those around it. A GEM is held in high regard and is a sought after possession. EM of Georgia is a woman who lives out of her heart for herself and others. She embodies boldness, creativity, confidence, charisma, courage and grace. A GEM of Georgia is balanced mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. She is a woman who is humble and always open to improvement. A GEM of Georgia never wavers in her character, integrity and sincerity. She is never afraid to shine her light and always conducts herself accordingly in every situation. A GEM of Georgia values herself, knows her worth and believes in unconditional love and SISTERHOOD. We, the GEMS are first and foremost- Mothers, Sisters, Daughters, Wives and Friends. We host a broad range of professional titles which include, but are not limited to: Entrepreneurs, Homemakers, Doctors, Educators, Corporate Executives, Engineers and Artists.

That which is rooted and grounded on genuineness, love and authenticity will never lose its power. The Gems of Georgia reconnected this past weekend with a Memories and Mimosas event and it was a hit! Taking a trip down memory lane was amazing, but we are excited about what the future holds for the Gems!

Today we SALUTE the many women who've served, inspired, empowered, educated, connected, shared and bonded on this platform. Because of you we have memories that will last a lifetime, bonds that will never be broken, and friends that are now considered family and sisters. We THANK YOU for 8 awesome years on this platform!

On Saturday morning our 2014 Potential Gem Circle, along with a few of our Gems, trekked under the bridges of the I-75/85 and I-20 interchange to distribute blessing bags to the men and women who have made the underlying areas of the interstates their homes. As always, we continue to act on the thing that connects us all – the human heart, and we leave with feeling the great reward that comes from simply being of SERVICE to others.
Remember, we are not blessed just to be made happy; we are blessed to be made a blessing.
