*ARUWE UNDER-15 CUP KICKS OFF IN MUSHIN AS CHAIRMAN EMPOWERS 10 TEAMS WITH JERSEYS AND CASH SUPPORT*

*Mushin, July 15, 2026* – The Aruwe Under-15 Male Football Competition officially kicked off today in grand style as the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, *Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe*, presented customised jerseys and financial logistics to 10 teams competing for the Aruwe Chairman’s Cup.

The presentation, done by the Local Organising Committee at the council secretariat, had in attendance the Vice Chairman, Leader of the Legislative Arm, Secretary to the LG, and other key officials.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Aruwe said the competition is part of his administration’s drive to prioritize youth and sports development.

“This is about unity, talent discovery, and giving our young people a platform to showcase Mushin to the world. Let us play with discipline and keep it free of violence,” he said.

The tournament begins today at *Old Works Yard Football Pitch, Olu-Aina Street* with the opening match between *Ward A vs Ward J by 3:00 PM*.

The LOC described the Aruwe Cup as competitive, impactful, and a talent pipeline for Mushin.
