🎥 VIDEO: “Hold Leaders Accountable Without Damaging Nigeria’s Image” — Fashola 🇳🇬

Former Minister Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has advised Nigerians to demand accountability from leaders responsibly, without projecting the country negatively to the world.

According to Fashola, criticism is necessary in a democracy — but it should be constructive, factual, and mindful of Nigeria’s global image.

🗣️ As always, many Nigerians say it’s a delight listening to Fashola speak — calm, thoughtful, and deeply grounded in governance experience.

Do you agree with his position?
Can accountability and patriotism truly go hand in hand? 🤔

🇺🇸🇳🇬 JUST IN: U.S. Approves $413 Million for Counter-Insurgency Operations in Nigeria, West Africa

The United States Congress has approved $413 million (about ₦587 billion) to support counter-insurgency and security operations in Nigeria and other West African countries under its 2026 defence budget 🇺🇸

The funding, approved under the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), is aimed at tackling:

Terrorism

Insurgency

Banditry

Maritime and regional security threats

📌 Reports confirm the approval is part of America’s wider $901 billion defence budget for 2026.

🕊️ Why this matters to Nigeria
The approval comes amid rising insecurity across the region and strengthens U.S.–Nigeria security cooperation, including intelligence sharing and military support.

💼 Lobbying & diplomacy angle
Just days before the announcement, reports revealed that the Nigerian government under President Bola Tinubu hired U.S. lobbyists to improve diplomatic and security relations.
While no official source directly links the lobbying to this approval, the timing has sparked conversations about Tinubu’s foreign diplomacy strategy.

⚖️ Political reactions
Supporters see the development as a diplomatic win for Nigeria, while critics question the cost of lobbying and its political implications.
So far, no public reactions have been recorded from opposition figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, or Nasir El-Rufai.

🔍 Bottom line
✔️ The $413m approval is verified and real
❓ Direct credit to lobbying remains speculative
📢 The news has already ignited strong political debate online

What do you think — smart diplomacy or expensive politics? 🤔

🇺🇸🇳🇬 BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu Conferred Honorary Citizenship by U.S. State of Georgia

Despite being in detention in Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, has been granted Honorary Citizenship of the U.S. State of Georgia 🇺🇸

According to reports, on January 16, 2026, Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, issued a proclamation naming Kanu an “Honorary Georgia Citizen” and recognizing him as an Outstanding Citizen and Goodwill Ambassador.
The certificate was officially received on his behalf on January 23, 2026.

📌 What does this mean?
Honorary citizenship at the U.S. state level is purely symbolic.
It does NOT give Kanu:

U.S. citizenship

Visa or immigration status

Legal protection or immunity

Power to interfere with his trial in Nigeria

It is simply a gesture of recognition and goodwill, often given to individuals viewed internationally as influential or symbolic figures.

💬 Supporters say the move boosts global awareness of Kanu’s case and reinforces claims that he is a “prisoner of conscience.”
⚖️ The Nigerian government, however, is not legally affected, and his trial and detention remain unchanged.

The move has already sparked mixed reactions online — praise from supporters and criticism from others questioning its implications.

What’s your take on this development?
Symbolic support or unnecessary controversy? 🤔

🚨 RUMOUR CHECK: Is INEC Chairman Yakubu Really Sacked? 🚨

Multiple news outlets are reporting that President Bola Tinubu has ordered Prof. Mahmood Yakubu (INEC Chairman) to proceed on leave and named a possible successor. The allegation is that he was removed for what some call “betraying” his appointing party.

But hold up — the Presidency has come out swinging, saying these reports are false. SPOKESPERSONS including O’tega Ogra have strongly denied the claim, calling it fake news.

So for now:

Yakubu is still in office.

Any change would have to be announced through official channels.

The public is advised to disregard rumors circulating online.

👉 Do you believe these rumors — or are they just political noise?

🚨 BREAKING: Pastor Accused of Thr3at3ning Member’s Daughter Over $1,000 Demand 💵✈️

A shocking report has surfaced online involving a Nigerian pastor who allegedly thr3at3ned to have a church member’s daughter deported after she moved abroad 🌍.

Her “offense”? Buying landed properties in Nigeria 🏠 but not purchasing one for him.

According to the viral claims, the pastor allegedly said:
👉 “If she doesn’t give me $1,000 in 7 days, I’ll make them deport her.” 😳

This story has triggered heated debates on religion, power, and financial exploitation in churches.

Should pastors have a say in how their members spend their money? Or is this crossing the line?
