August Market Journal

🎓 DRUNKY ACADEMY
Cocktail Science Series
EP.08 — Why Does Temperature Change Taste?

Most people think temperature only changes how cold a drink feels.

But there's more to it than that. 👀

The same cocktail can taste completely different depending on its temperature.

❄️ Chilled cocktails often feel:

✅ Smoother

✅ More balanced

✅ More refreshing

While warmer cocktails may make:

🥃 Alcohol feel stronger

🍬 Sweetness feel heavier

🍋 Citrus feel less vibrant

The recipe hasn't changed.

The ingredients haven't changed.

Only the temperature has.

That's why bartenders pay so much attention to ice, chilling and serving temperature.

Because great cocktails aren't just made well.

They're enjoyed at the right temperature. 🍸
