Behind The Blush:

Base: Wh**ky.
Toasted amaranth. Vanilla. Hazelnut.
Method: milk-clarified with almond milk. The cloudiness is removed; the depth stays.
Served over clear ice.

The red ingredient: Amaranth. Toasted until nutty, it gives the drink its earthy backbone.

It bursts first. Then the drink takes over: tequila and watermelon up front, peanut butter through the middle, amaro and pink peppercorn to close.

Fruity, nutty, earthy. In that order.
